In a lot of legal definitions--in fact isn't this true in England?--rapists are only men. This is a dictionary. It's job is to define words based of meaning and usage. 1	Depression and Gender Differences How did anyone not label that as depression? It sounds like he was just reading the list of "signs of depression." I don't understand either of those results at all. His conclusion was wrong, though. If I'm doing my math right - and someone should be double checking me - about 1/8 men succeed at suicide, while 1/100 women do. 0	My business professor just quoted the stat that women only make 87% of what men make 80% of the homeless are male. Where does it say that? It says 80% in the Netherlands. And the citation about men in the US isn't available. Edit: since we're on the topic of playing with statistics though, homeless is one of those cheap words. 1	Some thoughts on "rape culture" which may have some validity. That's unnecessarily extreme, but I agree. The minimum for suggesting a rape culture would have to at least be that I can make jokes about rape and it's okay, or that we do not give support to rape victims. Rape is shouted to be the one thing you cannot joke about, and I've never seen larger support than for rape victim. Rape is not trivialized, condoned, excused, or the least bit tolerated. The claims for #45-50 come from the journal 10 Myths about Custody and Domestic Violence and How to Counter Them. The chart appears to be speaking against these, despite them all being backed by a study (so it seems to be deeming these studies false.)
