It sounds to me like you're trying to rationalize ignoring the basic biology between a man and woman. People often want to think we aren't animals. We are - we're just smart enough to build a forum to talk about it. If the question is whether a male crying in front of a female (showing weakness) will contribute to the failure of a relationship, the answer is yes. The phrase "man up" didn't come out of nowhere. If you want to call providing security as being objectified, ok sure. It's no differen…

There are three separate things here and I'm not sure any of them quite hold up:. Being considered a source of security in a traditional relationship is not being objectified - it is your job as the male in the relationship. See #1. Just doing what feels good to you is hardly a good strategy for success in any facet of life. You need some level of discipline, which often means doing what's right rather than what feels good. Crying in in front of your SO degrades the relationship leading to her l…

Men: do not do this. It will impact your relationship. Regardless of how you think the world 'should' be, you're going to run up against reality and biology. You crying in front of your SO will cause a reaction, subliminal as it may be. You are meant to provide security and crying is a signal against this. You'll see women saying they want men to be more emotional and open and she might like it at first, but it will degrade the relationship over time. This may be called red pill or toxic masculi…

I think the simplest explanation for the show is that it just functions as one big reality check. Earlier on in the show, most of his advice came down to this basically: Men - if you want to improve your dating prospects, take steps to improve your income, network, and style. Women - if you want to improve your dating prospects, take steps to improve your fitness, femininity, expectations, and address any past trauma. Now the show has grown and become more popular, the most delusional callers ma…

Okay new analogy: You go to the store to get a book. The price tag on the book is $20, because that is what people are willing to pay for that author's work. You say "this book selling market is abstract and toxic and I reject it!" The owner of the book store says "okay, you can't have the book".

The "value" of something is only related to the market you're in. You're on a sub that primarily discusses the dating and marriage market. It's no different from discussing people's value in other markets. For example, if we were discussing the job market for delivery drivers and you don't have a license, you have low value in that market. You could be a great person, be well-read, be funny, donate to charity, etc., etc. However, that market values people with a driver's licence, so you are low …

You should use the debate to hone your argument, though, because they will likely bring up points or angles you hadn't considered. I think it's wise to concede those points if they make sense.

Agree, the debater is never going to change their mind. If anything they will dig their heels in further because of the social pressure of a public platform. You're debating for the audience and for people who are unsure or hazy about an idea. Even on a debate team, you're trying to win points, not have the other team say "fine, you win".

I made the mistaking of reading through FDS recently... The difference between RP and FDS to me seem to be the following (I'm talking about the basics of RP - there's plenty of clowns there too): RP: Here's some hard truths so you can fix yourself and get better outcomes. FDS: Here's what you want to hear so you feel better about the outcomes you aren't getting.

You wasted their time.

You talk about "wasting youth", yet you point to your supposed multiple proposals that you've turned down. You were clearly serious enough in these relationships to warrant proposals, yet did not want to get married when it came to it. Who is wasting whose time?

That all seems reasonable. And the anxious energy is a turnoff, so it's a self-perpetuating situation.

The irony of pointing to solipsism when you've made no attempt to see the situation from a male point of view, or to even consider that a male's point of view would be different than yours, tells us everything we need to know.

Seems weird that the response to one's BS meter going off would be to keep dating and want a relationship... Point taken on the length of the reply though. We've gotten away from the point and gone ad hominem, and we know what that means. I let it veer off though, so I'll reeeeel it on back in succinctly. OP stated they saw on datingoverthirty that women were getting ghosted after sex and what 'pill' explaination there might be. My generalized proposal: For men, sex is just sex unless something …

Point taken on the long reply. This has turned ad hominem and we know what that means, but I let it veer off course. Let's reeeeel it on back in succinctly: OP's question was why women on datingover30 are getting ghosted after sex and is there a 'pill' explaination. My generalized proposal is this: For men, sex is just sex unless a relationship develops. Men will have sex even if there aren't indicators of long term relationship material. These 30+ women are not giving off qualities the men valu…

I don't mean this antagonistically, but you're exactly proving the point in a couple ways. One point of clarification - they're not filtering me out, I'm breaking things off. That's not a 'brag', it's just to say I'm the one stopping things from proceeding. To think they would purposefully be "difficult" to self-filter rather than just not going out again if I asked doesn't make sense, and it isn't borne out by the events. If these women are approaching a first date by being difficult rather tha…

32 year old male, here's my experience. For the past 10 or so years I've been dating women anywhere from 24 to a couple years above my own age and I've noticed a marked difference in the women my own age. For reference, I am well-educated, 6 figure job, good looking in the face, okay body, kind of short (but I haven't really had issue with that). The 30+ women are typically well-educated and have good jobs, but it's like they have had the life sucked out of them, for lack of a better way to desc…
