Not exactly. I believe the entire family benefits from the arrangement, and if my wife agrees then I am for it. If she would rather work I support her in that too.

Kids are natural manipulators, and curbing that is a major thrust of our parenting. Reading about this kills me. Edit: Might be more accurate to say "Humans are natural manipulators."

Wouldn't it make more sense to just rape a random guy? Unbelievable.

I have to admit that I thought you were kidding around.

Good idea, I will have the birth certificate anyway since we are seat sharing. Having some extra info about my wife seems like good advice too.

I like it better w/o the custody one, because all the others are death focused.

Rage much? I'm just answering the "how does it work question". I'm not defending it. edit: I need to point out that as an MRA, what you WANT is for the state to change the terms. So complaining about them doing that is a bit silly.

A class probably isn't a bad idea, although at least in my case I heard about a lot of this stuff before I finished high school. I wouldn't be against alimony if it wasn't so one-sided toward gender. A lot of men are becoming the primary caregiver and sacrificing their careers to do it (I know of several). None of them have gotten divorced, but I'm betting if they did they would have a hard time getting monetary support from their spouse.

You asked, I gave the answer, and the proof is that the judiciary system recognizes and enforces this. Feel free to lobby for change if you wish, but this is the current state of affairs. (when you get married you sign the license - the terms are in the state law)

The short answer is yes, and it is part of the marriage contract.

I have to admit, I was not aware of that.

I don't understand why the term 'homophobia' gets tossed around so much. You wouldn't say a Jehovah's witness has birthday-a-phobia, or that a muslim has swineaphobia. Just because someone has a religious stance on an issue doesn't mean they hate/are afraid of the thing. Edit: I didn't realize they had called for homosexuals to be put to death. I think homophobia might actually be appropriate in this specific context.

I'm finding that many people's thoughts about any subject are extremely one dimensional, and that includes some commenters in this sub. IMO the proof is in the downvotes to this topic. That you even acknowledged female oppression means you are not a true believer in mens rights to some people.

The point is that this is an incredibly common thing among women, and the whole reason that this request from them is really a 'thing'. When you are on a first date do you ask if she has ever fallen in a toilet? This is a matter of habit and not of intelligence.

I apologize for the sarcasm then. I felt I was being attacked, and took your comment that way.

Wow really! You know that never even occurred to me!

If I can save my wife the experience of falling in the toilet through a simple habit, then I'm happy to do so. This is /r/MensRights not /r/misog yny right? Edit: Didn't know that was a real sub

I changed my mind when I found out that women were literally falling into the toilet. It seemed less trivial after that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
