To be fair since the average man is physically stronger than the average woman, it is somewhat logical to say that this implies the average woman will tire more easily, and thus may 'need' the seat more than you do.

I'm just playing devil's advocate here, but perhaps this restaurant has predominantly male customers and want to boost their female customers. On the other hand, would you call having student/elderly discounts age discrimination?
