I think a lot of people in this thread are bitter bc they didn’t play high school sports and harbor some resentment. This is entirely anecdotal but, at least at the HS where I played, football players were less likely to torment kids. I think it’s bc athletes are able to be disciplined not only by teachers and parents but also by coaches.
