I like how this implies that heartbreak is gender exclusive.

Wow, what an awful thing to say. The MRM isn't supposed to be about degrading or demeaning women, it's supposed to be about equality. Let's not blur those lines. It's stuff like this that likely gives MRAs a bad name. :/

She said she had no sympathy for the girl This is probably what made the shrink mad. Saying that you have no sympathy for a rape victim is a pretty shitty thing to say regardless of context. That aside, a psychologist should not be saying that sort of thing to a client. It's really inappropriate and unprofessional.

I agree. People expressing their appreciation for equal rights groups such as this one isn't at all a bad thing! Perhaps I should have worded my original comment differently, I was just pointing out that these posts are made fairly frequently. My bad.

Ohlawd my comment is being taken the wrong way. I don't find these posts remotely bad or off-putting, I was just agreeing with MaunaLoona that these threads are made quite frequently.

If it's a friend or someone that I already know, that's different. I'm talking about when complete strangers will put their arm around my shoulder when I don't know them. That's what I find offputting. I've had many of my female friends say the same. Frankly, I wouldn't be interested in a man who didn't respect my wishes regarding this anyways. The point of my comment, however, was just to let you know that sometimes it is not a conscious effort to not seem "easy." That's all I was trying to say…

This is pretty late, but I would like to say one thing. I don't like it when strangers touch me, not because "ew, they're creepers" or "I'm not that kind of girl" but because I don't like being touched unless it is in private. Even if it's just a quick arm brush, it makes me uncomfortable, regardless of gender. I have said this in the past, and have been met with "no, it's your subconscious that tells you that you like it, all women like kino". I'm not telling you that breaking physical barriers…

Like I said, there's absolutely nothing wrong with these posts. It's great to see more and more people getting into it!

Yep. It's the weekly "I'm a girl and I agree with you guys, front page of subreddit pls" post. Not that there's anything wrong with such posts, of course, but it is getting to be a bit of a pattern.

Some, maybe. All I'm saying is that you shouldn't generalize an entire group. How would you feel if someone said that all MRAs were misogynistic assholes? Not very good, I presume.

Not all feminists are as anti-male as you seem to be implying that they are. That's a pretty large generalization.

Absolutely. Individuals have opinions. Genders as wholes do not.

As a woman who supports the men's rights movement, I can assure you that I do in fact want equality, as do many other women, and you're making a pretty offensive generalization.

Oh dear. Lost it at "I am FAR more educated than you".

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
