...when would this possibly work? If this is what 'negging' is, it's pretty wrong-headed. I can imagine getting slapped pretty hard over some of these.

As someone who used to have pretty severe social phobia, there's a lot of reasons why you might fear being social. Having a chemical imbalance will inhibit you greatly. I remember taking medication for the first time and it was really intense how big of a difference it made. It's still hard for me to strike up conversations though. I'm too inwardly focused and worrisome. But I have to say, if you actually have physical symptoms and an intense fear of speaking with people, something could be up. …

http://redd.it/yt8bs and http://redd.it/ysie4 The first is about a trans-woman that was born with a small member. The second (more popular) thread is a man who doesn't quite fit the term 'micro'penis. But his is small. I actually found the rejection portion interesting in the second thread. He says it has been a tough road, but he was still able to find love. Even if by unconventional means. The trans-woman says she has had success in love. I mean, that really says something to me. It says that …

Well, just like in real life you have to come to expect rejection. It frustrating, but that's just how it goes! I've read that the average response rate is something like 5-7%. There's an /r/okcupid subreddit that goes over how to make a solid profile. You might wanna check it out. From my experience webcams generally don't take good pictures. It probably would be wise to invest either in a phone w/ a good camera or a half-way decent camera. Beyond just taking pictures to pimp yourself out, it's…

Pffft. Dating websites got me some tail. It's actually a pretty nice alternative, but different. If you aren't getting reponses back, there could be a lot of things in play. You could have a profile that isn't up to snuff or inadequate messages sent. Or there my be serious logistics issues. If your pool of candidates is low, it might be hard to find a girl. A friend of mine told me that many of the pics guys have up are of them posing in the bathroom mirror. Worse, the bathroom isn't even clean.…

A lot of great advice here. I used to be very similar to you. I lost my virginity at yep 24. I think that if you just start talking to women and make small goals for yourself, then eventually you'll get there. I also paid for a prossie around yer age. It was, well, just 'ok'. Knowing that someone doesn't actually want to be with you isn't much fun. But I do think it helped me to 'get it out of the way' so to speak. Unfortunately, you don't realize how little it actually matters until you have do…

Many of the statements you have made are distorted viewpoints and it's pretty easy to see why you would be miserable. You come across as an articulate, self-aware person. There is just something there that has caused you to lose ground and fall into a pattern of self-defeat. It's good to recognize short-comings, but when that's all you see, it's hard to dig yourself out without some aid. I have dealt with mental health issues most of my life and while it's sometimes a lonely road accepting that …

I have tried JUST complimenting a woman's looks online and that has had a low success rate. Unless it's coupled by something genuine, it comes off as being really cheesy. So I like your approach. Wit is a very useful tool, one that is generally overlooked by low-brow uninformed men. I especially like the bit about conquering Europe. If that comes to pass, can I have Poland? My only beef may be that, if you don't know someone well enough, she may get cold feet. For obvious reasons, some women are…

Considering that I already have a stock-pile of non-perishable goods a small armory of various weaponry and a well-thought out plan for when the zombies attack, I am quite OK with this concept.

Any man that is willing to put himself out there instead of continuing his path of silent suffering deserves a great deal of credit. As long as you put in effort, you are going to reap the benefits. Well, I am 26 currently dating and I didn't lose my virginity til last year. I was drunk at the time and the experience wasn't great, but it helped to alleviate the pressure of carrying my v-card. I say, get fucked up and take someone home. Women really, really don't understand what it's like. Having…

I don't think you can ignore it, but I think you can learn to respect the situation for what it is. I like what you friend says about 'respecting the battlefield.' You aren't above the game. How can you get over that? Maybe focus on small goals you're trying to achieve instead of trying to get some. For instance; try to get her to reveal something private. What I personally don't care for here, is how often people are willing to tell you that the effort you make is wrong. No. Not necessarily. Yo…

Thanks for the response. I prefer to use confident. That works for me and is universally understood by people who use english. I expressed annoyance because it's on every other post. Why shouldn't I question something that I find rootless? Isn't that what being confident is about? NOT putting up with stuff you find that doesn't pass the sniff test? I am not a sheeple!!

1)You used it to shield yourself from the attacking grizzly, who otherwise would have brutally butchered the school bus full of children. *You should see the grizzly. He didn't fair so well. 2)testing out a new form of skeletal enhancement, whereby you will be nearly indestructible 3) Trapped in a chasm for 124 hours and it took everything in your power to free yourself from the boulder that pinned your arm. Fortunately, you had a rock hammer, so you didn't have to sever anything. My friends and…

That's awesome to hear man. Yeah, there's a lot of stuff on here that I find to be annoying, but there's a lot of useful stuff too. It's great to realize that you actually can cultivate confidence, especially if you have come from a place where it seemed elusive. I'm going to have my first OKC date in a few as well. What I have come to realize (and you would think this would be a given) is that if I embrace my strengths and what I do like about myself, it's easier to be comfortable in my own ski…

I browsed through the glossary/FAQ and didn't find a definition. Although I did find a condensed version someone else posted here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/94582272/Condensed-Alpha-Characteristics Yeah, it's STILL not a good definition. In the zoological sense, an alpha male is aggressive and dominant. I don't feel the need to redefine something that I don't see as positive in the first place. The characteristics referenced above are what most people refer to as confidence. That works, that mak…

I actually think he's ballsy for repeatedly bringing this up. I think many men, after haven been rejected or if the woman gave no serious response, would have stopped. I would still give it a shot, but realize you're going to have to keep this all on the DL. Most employers really frown about relationships at work. Still, everyone fucking does it. Don't give any fuel to gossipy coworkers. They can make your job really torturous.

Sniff* Sniff* this brought a tear to my eye. You sir, have won. I will be borrowing this couch move from you too. The only drawback to this plan is that it would have to be a normal sized couch and not one of those gigantic wrap-around behemoths.

I want to first ask where you are that you expect to be approached? At school? The club? What is the demographic for this setting? Also, since when was it completely taboo to say hello to a guy that you're interested in? At the very least, you could sit next to or closer to him if that's the goal. Give us something to work with and we will make more attempts. We're not so great at picking up on the subtleties of female interest. Guys are easy. We turn our heads 180 degrees to get a nice long loo…

There's always an entry fee for men. I would go for the more casual 'ones as opposed to those manned by Lou Ferigno. If you're kinda like me and don't like crowds, get there early and loosen up with a drink.

while I kind of question the ethics of being with that many partners, the advice is nonetheless solid. Although I have to disagree with your premise that PUA techniques are about increasing confidence. No. They're try to sell you on the idea that there actually IS a formula. Otherwise, it would be solely about how to increase confidence and improve your chances. My closest friend pretty much said something similar to a girl not being into you. Although he answer was even more nuanced. Just becau…
