I'm sorry to hear that, but it's definitely a good call that you're putting yourself first. One of the things I've taken from TRP is to never show weakness. In my beta days, I would completely hide my weaknesses, but that in itself was insecure. I think the trick is to not draw attention to the weakness, but rather draw attention to the strength required to overcome the adversity and limitations caused by the weakness. How did the pain affect the dynamics of your LTR and how did you deal with it during the LTR? I had downplayed the pain in my previous LTRs, I guess I wanted to look strong and invincible. They were always surprised when I did bring it up.

I see. So you prioritize yourself over the date. Makes sense. How has that turned out in the field? I usually take codeine and other pain killers. Working to get myself off them but it'll take a while.
