Alphas embody both within one man. That's why it's so confusing for guys. It's not either or. It's contextual. They can be the benevolent leader, the magnanimous king. They bring benefit to the group by being a positive, supportive and uplifting force to everyone around them. Can be cheerful or laid back or just about anything. That's just a matter of personality and individual strengths. But, they can also be the ruthless killer. When they or theirs are threatened the daggers come out. In whate…

Try carnivore/ZC diet. Lots of people with immune problems and skin issues are seeing results. Myself included. Check out meatheals.com Other than that sort yourself out first before focusing on women. Fix your health, lift, develop social skills. Crush college. Just read and apply sidebar.

Law 13: When Asking for Help Appeal to People's Self-Interest Never To Their Mercy or Gratitude Also, there is a deep paradox in human nature concerning cooperation and competition. Altruism and self service. They go hand in hand. They're sides on the same coin. Yin and yang. That's because life operates at a micro and a macro level. Societies fight other societies. But within that society groups fight other groups. And within groups individuals compete with others. Life fights for life. At …

Fair enough if you weren't that attracted. I get it. Been there. At the same time, by your own account, you're still putting in mileage. Sometimes, you might just want to do it for the experience and to break mental barriers. Good experience overall, you've taken away some lessons, savor them and on to the next one.

The power of "compounded interest", if you will. Nice to read an example of it in action. Hats off to the long term self improvement and gaming and congrats on it paying off.

As humans, a hypersocial species, we have deep, innate need for contact with others of our kind. Focus on self improvement is good. But socializing is a basic need, much like water, food, air, shelter and clothing. Humans in isolation literally go crazy. Socialize. It’s a big part of self improvement in fact. Make sure it’s in a way that isn’t counterproductive to your other self improvement goals.

Can relate. It just happens once you hit a decent body count. My answer is spending my time on more important things. Weekday evenings for hobbies. Weekends for family and friends. If a girl seems high quality I’ll fit her in by letting her join stuff I was going to be doing anyway. If she’s cool we can hang alone.

> I didn't try to work from coffee shops, because I thought I would spend more money that way, since you have to buy something daily from there. True. The point is to get out of the house and be amongst people though. Library or friends' office/house are cheap alternatives. Good on you to take a break from girls. There is more important shit to life. Sex drive will come back once you got your ducks in a row again. Good to focus on those ducks instead of fucks. Good luck!

I’ve worked in hospitality a lot. Became a manager. Now doing something related in the industry as a freelancer. Depending on the venue it can be great for growing your social skills and contacts and meeting women and developing game. That is, when you’re in your twenties and your other options are limited. But it also comes at the cost of a less than ideal environment (lot of smoking, drinking, garbage food, late hours, toxic people sometimes). As has been said, we can’t decide for you. That be…

without conscious effort the default momentum is downward This is very true. To overcome this I’ve recently combined this awareness with the power of habit. So at set points throughout the day I focus on building certain beliefs. For example every night as I lay down to sleep I breathe deeply and remind myself of all the things I love about myself and about my life. Until I fall asleep. After each workout, during cooldown on a bike, I close my eyes, breathe deeply and remember all my success, re…

You need to look at it differently. Women bond by talking. Men don’t. Men bond by carrying out tasks together. It simulates hunting and warfare. Observe men working together. Often they just stfu and focus on their role specific tasks. When they do talk, it purposefully relates to the task at hand. Nothing creates a deeper bond of trust and comfort (friendship) between men than this type of coordinated, goal focused co-operation.

It’s like money. When you don’t have it, it’s all that matters. Once you do, it’s no longer an object. TRP covers much more, but there is a focus on women because that’s what most men miss most.

Funny, I was reflecting on similar things just today and arrived at the same conclusion. Plenty of girls don’t (seem to) show interest, but if you push a bit anyway, you discover they’re actually very receptive. Part of it is they want a guy that won’t give a fuck, that’s unfazed, that doesn’t need signals or encouragement and that won’t take the first or second no for an answer. He decided on this course of action so he’s taking it, external cues are only of secondary importance. Side note: Not…

It’s a constant balancing act I’ve found. Some guys are naturally (too) aloof, some (too) interested. It also depends on the situation and the girl. I’ve also found that when I don’t really care or when am willing to loose her, that’s when I naturally strike the right balance.

I’ve done it for two years and I’m actually not a big fan for several reasons. But it can serve some purposes. One of them is that it makes it easy to meet people. That’s what you need when you’re first starting out building a social life. And it draws people worth associating with (value fitness, health, nutrition, young professionals who got shit together). Everything is a tool dude. It’s not so black and white.

You gotta crawl before you walk dude. Join groups and organizations. Try making your hobbies/activities social. Make sure it’s something you enjoy or care about. E.g. CrossFit, soccer, BJJ gym, Krav Maga, student organizations, so many, from entrepreurial focused to exchange focused, writing classes, singing classes Be social. Forget about picking up. Just focus on having fun with other people, practice social skills, conversational skills, make friends, hang out.

Been doing it for 6 months now. Lots of improvements. Bulked up without training. Injuries healing. Sick recovery once started training. Improvement in psoriasis (skin condition). More energy. Better moods. I’m more relaxed with it now, having some carbs, fruits, veggies here and there. But it works for me and I’ve decided to always center my eating around getting in lots and a wide variety of high quality animal products.

I get what your mentor is saying. But I’ve experienced it in another way. Went to Rio for two weeks and stayed in an apartment/hotel type of place with reception, pool, cleaning service, etc. in the best part of town. My gut reaction reading the girls comments you posted is to laugh. Like literally it makes me wanna laugh reading this right now. Your bitches seem fun. Just tease them right back dude. It ain’t all so serious. It’s a way of flirting for women often. Simetimes you don’t even have to say something back. For me it clicked when I read Relationships, the Red Pill, and you from the Sidebar (combined with all the contextual understanding provided by the rest of the Sidebar). Basically, mothers love their boys unconditionally. This is hardwired by nature to ensure maternal investment during the first part of a child's life. Subconsciously, a lot of men are still seeking this profound, all-encompassing, unconditional love in their relationships with women. But they'll never find it. Because only their…

Just yesterday I was having drinks with a girl when she suddenly told me she’s in an open relationship. She was very Machiavellian. Openly so however. Which isn’t very Machiavellian at all if you think about it. It felt like being around a domesticated tigress. Her mom bailed when she was a kid and she was then dragged along Africa by her humanitarian aid worker father and his war journalist wife. She started living on her own in her mid teens. All of this she told me matter-of-factly and light-…

This happens a lot. Comfort makes men soft. And women and relationships provide comfort. The fault is not with women though. You are the man and leader. You should have your values and uphold them. Because you want to respect yourself. And because you know your value as a man flows from your habits, which flows from your values. Instead of seeing your girl as an impediment, make her part of the support system. Let her fuel you (by cooking healthy meals, prepping meals). Let her help you relax, r…

Very good analogies; leader/boss (at work). Likewise, it’s not necessary to be “bossy” or “domineering” (though that will work too with some women). Taking initiative, assuming compliance, making decisions, showing faith. All traits of a leader, and traits you should display around women.

I can’t hold your dick for you dude. Use your own judgement and calibrate. I’m not you. I’m not in your situation. It’s about your attitude more than words. Your attitude informs your words. Your mentality should be: I fucking want X and I’m making it happen. Don’t ask her anything dude. Tell her. Invite her. “I’m doing X on Thursday. You should join. Meet me at X.” Something like that, but that makes sense for your personal situation. You’re probably better off READING THE SIDEBAR first and for…

You’re already emotionally invested. You feel like you got something to proof. Changing a girl’s mind who rejected you before feels like it would be the ultimate redemption and proof of your transformation to an alpha. It’s possible to overcome these factors but you gottta be aware of them. It can be done but in my experience you’ll have to be extremely assertive, forward and IDGAF-attitude. Overwhelming tactics. Agreed with Jeti. If it’s a random place you usually never go, it’s fine. You don’t have to see each other again. But if you’re a reg, don’t do it. It can make things awkward. And she has this in the back of her mind too. Plenty of pussy out there. No need to focus on this one.

Dude, you’re good. You’re 19. It’s gonna take time but you’re way ahead of the curve having these goals and RP aware. One thing I’ll say is this: Get the most social job possible. I’d recommend working at a bar. A cool one, with a young, fun team. It’s not that black and white. Good points on both sides. Yes, family is important. Within a family everyone takes care of one another. This is way better than depending on the state. If you feel your parents took/are taking good care of you while you are young, then there is great honor in taking care of them when they’re old. But everyone has to pull their weight. Within a lot of families the workload and balances can be way off. A lot of the comments in this thread showcase projection on the …

Not sure if I relate completely. But during unplugging there is definitely this sense of guilt. At first you don’t become assertive. At first you feel guilty and like an asshole for just NOT being subservient and overly polite to people. Even just stating your opinion of desires directly feels like you’re domineering others. Then you start noticing that people respect you all of a sudden, go out of their way for you, smile around you, deferring to you. They’re happy you’re manning up and taking …

Observation: Some women are attracted to some immoral men. Conclusion: To attract women, be immoral. Is this good logic? Is this supported by most of history or the proof of civilization? We're talking about: Being a good man vs. Good at being a man. Different concepts that often get mixed. IMO a better conclusion would be: Some immoral men possess some traits that are attractive to women. Though they are not good men, they often are good at being men. And masculinity attracts the feminine. But …

Great point. Two LTRs. One I ended. Was hard but doing it made me much better in the end. If I had been RP at the time she could’ve made a decent LTR (traditional, East European). The other I never should’ve entered. Ignored red flags, conceded non-exclusivity. Was ended for me. Luckily. You’re right. You gotta be willing to walk away from relationships. This takes a certain mentality and confidence and self respect.

This is a good guide if you're (about to be) a young professional. Depending on your field. Some fields are a bit more casual though. A lot of the principles still apply though. Getting in shape first. Importance of fit. Starting out with fundamental pieces. Nine shirts, go neutral if beginner, go bold if advanced. Two jeans. Diver watch. All in all, helpful piece for the right person OP.

OP, you might be right in theory. On sex quality, I agree, the stronger the emotional bond, the better the sex. On time investment, I guess it depends. Meeting plates doesn't have to be a big time sink at all, especially if you're meeting a lot of women naturally and organically as part of your weekly activities anyway. And spinning them can take less time than a GF; They just come over and you fuck as opposed to going on dates regularly. Furthermore, I think you're not factoring in some costs a…

Realized this a long time ago. After reading The Way of Men and Professor in the Cage. Life is not fair. Nature is competitive. Everything is trying to kill you. This is what makes you alive. A lot of us have difficulty distinguishing being alpha and being a dick. It’s a fine line to walk. And I think a lot of us act like a dick as a way of avoiding overinvesting emotionally, especially because of all we know regarding women. Also don’t forget, women are exceptionally good at stimulating sympathy and pity (consciously or unconsciously). It’s a survival tactic for them. They’re genetically wired to do it and we are genetically wired to feel it.

People started looking smaller haha. This was when I went from underweight skinny to normal but fit. This is mental too. They look smaller = you view them as less intimidating/significant/threatening than before. And it makes sense. When you’re small and delicate others pose more of a potential threat. Also experienced women touching me more. Random backrubs.

Yeah. I see it as a natural consequence of doing better in life. At the same time it’s been a mental shift necessary to actually achieve more success in life. So a cause AND effect. To really transcend the level you come from you have to start thinking differently. Like the people in the level you wanna be at. It works both ways. To a some extent, it is our responsibility how the people around us behave. Because you either correct them or not, and if they don’t correct their behavior you cut them off (or not, and thus accept their behavior). When this happens on a grand scale (accepting bitchy behavior) you end up with a situation where women act like bitches, because they can get away with it, because enough men accept and allow it. But it starts at the individual level. And when enough men think lik…

See your point. There are no lists in life though. There is no Alpha Must Do Activities list. Life is not an RPG. Fighting promotes masculinity. Lifting promotes masculinity. Both is better than one. If pressed for time, choose one. And I agree that generally lifting will yield a higher ROI for the average man. Great post. A lot of guys miss the point. This shouldn't be a fighting vs. lifting discussion. Should a football player train or lift? WTF. Gotta do both. Train for skill, study for understanding, and lift for raw power, strength, explosiveness, speed. The bro who only lifts, could he win games? Similarly, will you win at life and interpersonal dynamics by just lifting? Also points about the penalties on fighting in modern society only serve to prove the importance of martial arts. You can afford to take this position only because violence and fighting is outsourced for you to other men who are willing for and comfortable with it. You don't get to decide whether conflict is unnecessary or not, the aggressor decides that for you. Strong collectives of men are the biggest threat to the powers that be. Don't ever let them make you believe that men sharing time and physical contact is "gay". For millions of years each men and each tribe was required to hold his own in a fight.…

Partly agree/ partly disagree Location: Amsterdam. I agree with the general point that regional differences exist, obviously, and those have implications for our strategies. But especially feminism is making a sharp rise here. Men do get fucked in divorce, all the time. Custody over children is usually shared, but women get more say and time, plus alimony.
