That's not what I read, but I might be wrong. In any case, fingers crossed.

Yeah hopefully it passes this time. In 2010 a similar bill was proposed but was refused because it did not have the child's best interest as it's first priority... (aka, bullshit reasons)

R/offmychest has been overtaken by SRS (check the mods list) so it's really not surprising...

Holy shit... I'm actually feeling physically sick after reading some of this stuff (mainly the text copied as an image that talks about "international castration day"). Fucking hell. -EDIT- I just checked, and every tweet that had good arguments for men's rights got the account suspended... WOW! Talk about censorship from the feminists!

Why the medias keep interviewing people who don't know the shit they're talking about is just mind boggling. Oh wait, I forgot, they do this to create a controversy and get viewers.

Thanks for that. Though I think you should also recognize that since most of your examples of bad design originate from the 90s or from very minimalistic designs (angry birds is the only one that comes to mind as I can't check the article at the moment) and that all the good designs come from modern game, it's really a non-issue anymore in videogames. I understand it still happen in Japan but there, that's a cultural thing. For them it's ok if everything in a game is generalized of just stereoty…

This There is room for male-centered exploitation and porn (be honest thats what mainstream games are, just without the maturity to actually show sexual acts). This is what I consider an attack against videogames as a whole and it is SO offensive, you have no idea.

The problem I have with your article is that most of your argument is based on stuff from the 80s and 90s. Almost all of your examples of bad designs are from that time and almost all of your examples of good designs are from... well, the last few years actually. In 2012, when we can give more details to a character than a color or a small piece of clothing, it is irrelevant. And although that problem is still there (mainly in games from asian countries) you can count on your fingers the number …

The character's design dates back to the 80s... Back then, dialogue and story were a thing completely inexistant from videogames. If that character had been designed now, yeah the point would totally be valid. But it's not the case.

Well I just think it's a very unfair article because most of the characters image you are using date from the 90s and 80s. It really is far from the reality of current videogames. Yes, there is a general sexualisation (of both sexes) but frankly it usually happens with games from japan. You have to remember that, in Japan, they really don't have the same mentality than the west. Personally, I'm all agains sexualisation and generalisation in videogames, and I'm happy to work at a company that thi…

Exactly. If they don't ban SRS or at least have some severe consequences for the people who did the doxxing, that's it I'm done with reddit.

Yeah, they just shadowbanned POTATO_IN_MY_ANUS. /u/Dacvak wasn't happy with PIMA's post telling people to hide their personnal information (as seen in this conversation http://i.imgur.com/TUsIF.png) That is a fucking nice new community manager reddit has, isn't he? ¬_¬ /s
