I was a friend with a guy who said he would absolutely NOT have sex with his future pregnant wife because it's a child abuse. He also threatened to call CPS on me when I tried to explain that sex during a healthy pregnancy is very much normal and is actually encouraged. Je argued that bringing a female "friend" into their bed to take care of his needs is much more ethical option. He was also lying on OLD about his age and was looking for a 20 yo to have kids with (he is over 40). I blocked him b…

There's nothing worse than being stuck with a guy you don't like on a walk 😬 I don't do dinners as a first date for the same reason. The first date isn't even a date in my opinion, it's a pre-screening event to see if I want to dedicate hours of my life to have a real date with that person.

He could have prepared a small picnic if he is too broke, which is understandable at a young age. What counts is a thought and an effort. But they both still have a lot to learn and grow.

I don't understand who'd think a walking date is a good idea. There's absolutely nothing good about it. There's not much opportunity to observe each other's body language, to have an eye contact, to see how they interact with other people (servers, for example, which is very important), can't see their relationship with alcohol (a very important vetting factor to me). It's uncomfortable, cumbersome, time-wasting version of a date.

He has been dating her for 9 years. 9 years. I feel like crying reading this. This poor woman went through hell and now her "date" of 9 years is jokingly recreating that hell for her. Atta boy! Such a good sense of humor, definitely NTA 🙄 I hope she does go to her mama and away from this nightmare of a "husband"

I had to unfollow that sub after a few days of following. I just couldn't see that cesspool anymore.

You did a wonderful thing - you stood up for yourself! You might be heartbroken now but soon you will be so proud of yourself looking back! Otherwise you'd end up with cringy memories, shame and remorse.

I was permanently banned from Dating over 30 sub for telling one NVM with serious mental health issues he shouldn't be dating at this moment. He was living in poverty by choice, his tiny apartment had zero furniture, he slept on the blankets thrown on the floor, he had serious problems with his teeth to the point where he couldn't eat solid food, he had an eating disorder and never ate out, he didn't have any hobbies and didn't engage in any activities besides his minimum wage job, eating and sl…

I think they are very insecure deep inside and have the urge to prove their worthiness by insisting they aren't golddiggers.

It's hard but this is what works with a lot if discipline: do not engage in any daydreaming about them. Stop and begin thinking about something else when you catch yourself imagining yourself with them. Every single time. try not to think about them at all between the dates. Don't walk around in anticipation for their phone call or the next date. Talk to other guys and go on dates with them. You are still determining who'd be the best match for you. don't romanticize his gestures and actions. So…

I hope you reported this to police. Ideally, should have dialed 911 when he was following you and wait for the cops to arrive and arrest him for harrassment, stalking and road rage.

Really, the Block and Delete options are your best friend, ladies! It's like a safe wall behind which you are protected from an unwanted attention, stalking, anxiety, emotional manipulation, guilt tripping, verbal abuse and the temptation to text someone you shouldn't be texting.

People in Finland are way more secure, socially and economically, than people in the US, yet alone in India. She operated from her secure place of mind without fully realizing that she won't have the same level of comfort and security in India without an appropriate social status. I think it was very irresponsible of her to jump into this situation with a man she had never met. She made herself extremely vulnerable just for the sake of a possibility of a relationship and I will never understand …

And it's just a begging of a nightmare... I'd abort and leave this situation. There's nothing worse than bringing a child into this world with such a "father". We can walk away from a bad relationships but kids can't walk away from a bad parent. They will be stuck with them for the rest of their lives and will have to deal with all the trauma and psychological damage that bad parents bring.

This is the kind of insanity I refuse to participate in. Fly somewhere to meet a stranger? Fuck no, I won't even drive over 15 minutes to a first date. Quit my job for a dude? Shoot me. He dumped her when she developed health problems? Coward. And she had to assure him that she will make it work if he takes her back! I'd long forget his name by then. Yuck, I don't like anything in this story 😒

I'm pro divorce! Pro freedom for women to walk away safely from any relationship that doesn't serve them anymore. After ages if oppression and abuse from patriarchal society, the option of divorce at any time is so liberating. I just wish men weren't so violent and vindictive when their women have decided to walk away.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
