Women have a saying: “Dick is abundant, and of low value.” It’s the swamp from the analogy. Lots of men out there looking for casual sex, lots of men (sometimes entire communities of men) who can’t find casual sex for various reasons. Hence the dramatically skewed gender ratio the op on this thread mentioned. Women are leaving dating apps on droves. That’s just facts.

Oh is that so? That’s interesting because you literally just said, “Having casual sex is generally a net win for men - they get sexual gratification and ego boost with no downsides except a small risk of STDs. Yes the latter is much harder to obtain, but it doesn't always make it a worse choice. It depends on an individual man.” And yet you’re also saying it’s never been difficult to obtain and that women are easy to find because women just love casual sex. So which is it? Is casual sex “much ha…

Ha ha ha! Yes. My entire worldview is negated because of your individual experience and incrls are definitely not a thing. 🤣🤣

Well this is not a directed at you, more of a response to any man who thinks ALL women are whores. Men who think women are a monolith and all think the same. I see that a lot on reddit. Different women have different opinions, just like men. And if a man wants sex, ever — shaming women for giving it to you is just you cockblocking yourself. You create your own scarcity by shaming women for enjoying sex. Just the truth. 🤷🏼‍♀️

When did I say or imply YOU said it? Lots and lots and lots of men say it. Constantly. We’ve already established that lots of men have a jillion derogatory terms for women who like sex. I don’t get why you find this so tough to understand.

I just get so sick of seeing men whining about not finding sex while simultaneously screeching about how women are whores. Which is it? We’re damned if we do, damned if we don’t. So fuck it — we opt out completely because what’s in it for us? Scarcity may create demand… but that’s on men for shaming women who happily have sex. You can’t have it both ways.

That’s a hilarious take. Humans have sex for many reasons, but women in particular find casual sex empty and meaningless— and it’s all most men seem to want. If you think I’m wrong (and I know you’ll spin it that way) just look at how many women vs men are on dating apps. Ever hear of the the 4B movement? Women are staying single rather than put up with ONLY casual sex with no emotion or connection.

And that’s one of the MANY reasons why women are moving away from casual sex. All risk, no reward for us. Why bother?

And yet… when women DO enjoy sex and do enjoy hookups, they get labeled “sluts” and “whores” (“thots”… I could go on, men have a million derogatory names for women who enjoy sex) and get demeaned and discriminated against for it. It’s a classic Catch22 situation.

Bi men: “Why won’t straight women date bi men?” Also bi-men: “Man, my bi-cycle is so strong this week! I can’t decide which one I want!” https://np.reddit.com/r/bisexual/s/gSzyOwqVoq

So I’m probably gonna get downvoted to hell here but I really think you need to have a long hard discussion with your husband. People don’t get angry or yell or lust after people they don’t really care about. It sounds to me like your husband hasn’t actually given you his heart, he’s just there because it’s easy to be there. It sounds like he’s afraid to feel strong emotions. And Of COURSE you want to be wanted and loved and desired. We all do! You can either settle for a life of sort of mediocr…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
