That all really depends on where you live, near the city or rural area. If you live close to downtown, it's usually pretty easy to find a non-chain restaurant that serves good food. There are plenty of nice chain restaurants as well, such as Olive Garden (if you live in the US). You're right about not making it too fancy, but you don't want to get her McDonald's either. It shouldn't be too hard to find a nice place to eat in your area, just look online a bit. A hike is a great idea! Especially i…

I think they mean that you should call yourself names like "coward" or "pussy" in order to try and motivate yourself into talking to her.

If you think this girl is special, don't let me stop you. Go get her. What I meant was that if things dont work out in the long run, don't get down on yourself, but view it as an experience and a lesson. Date wise: the usual dinner/movie. It's best if this comes up naturally in conversation, but it needs to be said either way. For all you know she's leaving for school soon too so you won't have any problems there. College is a fresh start. I just finished my first year as an undergrad in June, and it was the most fun I've had in my whole life. I was pretty shy during high school…

I know this is hard, but you really have to put yourself in the mindset of "I have nothing to lose by asking her out." Because you don't. If she says no, sure you'll be embarrassed but you probably won't ever see her again. The leaving for college part is a bit tricky. I'd say there is no harm going on a date before you go but long distance can be really tough, especially if you don't have a solid foundation. My suggestion would be to go back, get some pants, and then just ask her of she's free …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
