A question that has been bugging me lately...How does this work for women who have low self-esteem/body dysmorphia/anything like that? Does that skew things at all? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/10/21 03:20 PM
A question that has been bugging me lately...They didn’t say psychopaths can’t be women. They didn’t even imply it. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/10/21 03:16 PM
Are some men truly content with never finding love?Totally possible that he’s just not interested in romance/romantic feelings/etc. If he’s schizoid, that might be part of schizoid personality disorder. I don’t know as much about cluster A disorders as I do about cluster B, but cluster B impacts an individual’s ability to feel and use empathy normally, in a way evident in their brain structure. I can imagine cluster A disorders have some similar impact - not on empathy specifically, but on a person’s ability to feel the full range of human emoti… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/10/21 02:41 PM
We need some established facts on this subredditYes. And there are some who don’t ignore them. The point is that there are people on earth who manage to exist without having sex, thereby making me question how much of a “need” it is. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/10/21 08:00 PM
We need some established facts on this subredditThere are organizations where celibacy is required. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/10/21 07:57 PM
We need some established facts on this subredditI would say no, except in the case of going outside because that can be directly tied to vitamin D absorption. The last two are important to psychological health, fulfillment, and general well-being. But you can technically survive if you do not accomplish anything. And you can technically survive in spite of abusive parents. And you can technically survive without having sex. Whether or not you will be happy and content is a separate question, in my opinion. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/10/21 07:55 PM
According to you, what does the "average guy"'s dating life look like, as well as the "average woman"'s?How are y’all staying up until midnight | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/10/21 04:04 PM
According to you, what does the "average guy"'s dating life look like, as well as the "average woman"'s?For me, it’s not a matter of feeding off compliments, but seeking to avoid insults and hurtful comments. I genuinely don’t care if people say nice things about my appearance (as opposed to no comment at all - no comment is great.) But if I absolutely have to share a picture somewhere, I’ll do whatever I can to avoid the prospect of mean comments about my flaws. (But that’s coming from years of cripplingly low self-esteem lol. Not sure if this is common for other women.) | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/10/21 03:57 PM
CMV: The intractable problem of women as reward.I’ve always made a point of trying to empathize with men who sound like they’re in blackpill/incel circles, because I recognize that it comes from a place of pain. I always tell myself that maybe it’ll make the slightest bit of difference for them. One nice, kind person can be the thing that tips the scale when you want to hurt yourself, or even hurt others. And more often than not, I really can empathize in a very genuine way. I’m not very attractive. I’ve been bullied my whole life. I’ve been … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/10/21 03:19 PM
“Chemistry”... what is it?Your last point’s an interesting one. I really think the longer I’m single, the more picky I get. I figured it would be the other way around, as I got more and more desperate, but nah. You learn how to exist without other people. The more time you spend alone, the harder someone is gonna have to sell themselves to seem better than what you’ve got going on by yourself. I definitely didn’t anticipate that. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/10/21 02:39 PM
