The boy's mother even mentions how big the outrage would be if genders were reversed, but says she doesn't want to ruin girls futures. This idea that boys deserve no modesty is horrible. It really depends on the person, imo. I have a 14 year old brother that, while he's a good kid, could definitely pull off something equally as horrible and not understand what he did and/or empathize with the victim. This is what I was thinking, I don't think juvenile detention and a permanent record is the best solution for kids at the age of 14. There should be repercussions, of course, but even looking at it from the perspective of reversing the genders, I still don't see it as deserving any entrance on a sex offender list or juvy time. It really is a shame because there's probably some serious psychological/social issues in those girls' brains that are causing them to think this is somehow funny or at least worth the consequences. There are some things you can do at a much lower caliber that actually qualify as pranks and are funny all around, but for 14 year olds to think it's acceptable to essentially sexually assault someone like this and, worse yet, put it somewhere like youtube? 11	Men are not monsters: Last week three of my four boys were herded into school-sponsored assemblies and asked to stand, raise their hands and pledge to never, ever hurt a woman. Their female classmates weren’t required to make a similar pledge.
