Yeah, it's like boring isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it is when you have to summarize your life with pictures. Like I'm a classical musician. I don't think it's boring, but most people on Tinder in my southern town do.

I think bored might be worse for the man in this situation. It should be easy to see when she's uncomfortable, but bored is harder to see through messaging.

Oh yeah, I agree. I meant that strat more as something for general interaction with people you're around a lot. I often deliver the joke very dryly with a serious face and wait to see what the girl does if I'm interested in her. If she laughs, then I know the conversation will probably be fun. Kind of a shit test.

I have this problem too, if you make a joke too dry, while it's obviously funny to you, others have to wonder if you're being serious or funny. Thing that helped me was adding the obvious shit-eating grin at the end. Then people know you're joking

I could see that. You could be hot but also be a "type". The standards of male beauty are a little more open-ended than female standards. For example, I'm super hot to some, invisible to others, because I'm 6 ft. 265 lbs with hair everywhere. I don't fit the "fuckboi" standard but definitely get some women flustered.
