I agree that my depression is deep rooted 100% and I will always have to deal with it in some way. I just think the route that i chose to escape the pain (serious, hardcore stereotypical "bad ass" who doesnt drink or smoke) has kind of hindered my social skills because other peoples perceptions of me in social settings are generally not "he seems like a great guy to party with". Ive been playing bass for 8 years and Ive been singing in choirs and groups for about 5, but i havent been in a group in a year ish. I think thats whats missing! That gave me the most joy, honestly. Lifting just gets my aggression OUT, but i need something to bring the happiness IN
