I know things have changed in the past, but I wonder how men back in the day felt about dating/women. I guess back then things were a lot more straightforward and there was no real "dating"... it was just called marriage. Maybe being spoiled for choice has something to do with this since we're always on the lookout for the next one or a better one and this just ends up turning into a never-ending cycle. IMO more often than not, dating isn't even as enjoyable or practical as other things like lif…

I totally missed this post, but it's a gold mine. No More Mr Nice Guy is a great book, I might just re-read it.

Yeah, I get it. I'm just saying I enjoy the self improvement aspect of it the most

I like these kinds of posts. I always thought TRP should expand and be more than just "how to get girls on Tinder" The self improvement/mindset side is what interests me since it relates to every guy on here. There's always room to grow if you know what I mean.

Built up a nice life for myself externally but I've neglected other areas. Need to get off my ass and back into the real world. I don't want to be a "work, sleep and repeat" drone. I can't stress the importance of leaving your home as much as you humanly can in a day.

You can still do all of those things on your own while learning from others who are further ahead than you. If anything, it will help you grow faster and avoid dumb mistakes.

You need to let go of your "genetic inferiority" fatalist mindset. I started going bald at 19 but that's never stopped me from talking to women. Instead of complaining, I shaved my head, hit the gym, made more money, took up boxing and bought some proper clothes instead of wearing hoodies and sweatpants all the time. And now I'm pretty happy with where I'm at. You can always improve your life one way or another, but checking out is rarely the right thing to do.

Self improvement is a big part of everyone's life. Refusing to grow as a person because it's "cucked" makes no sense. You say you're happy with yourself, but that's clearly a lie or you wouldn't be here asking others for help. You've been yourself you're whole life and guess what? It's not working so maybe it's time for a change.
