They is plural. Best to just use He. Don’t know what “bigot” has to do with anything. He/she is the correct grammar.

It’s better to just use He for a man and she for a woman. They is not correct grammar. For example, for hundreds of years most books used “He”. This is the way of saying he/she if gender is not known. However if a girl is being described then of course “She” is used. They was virtually never used. Better to say he or she unless you don’t know which gender though. I heard some odd people demanding on being called “they”. People can demand anything, but we don’t have to comply with such nonsense. …
