I disagree somewhat. I think a lot of the women who complain about not being treated nicely in gaming are the most irritating players out there. They're the ones who join the game and within 30 seconds announce that they're girl gamers. No one cares - just play the game. I am a huge gamer and I don't have any serious complaints about people online. Men and women both get trashed in multiplayer.

The men at work are super nice to me and do things like hold open doors and let me on and off the elevator first. They don't have to do it, but they do, and I really appreciate it on a human level. I make sure if I ever get to the door first that I hold it open for them. I don't act like some entitled princess and let it shut on them. You make a good point. I was on the defensive because all too often people makes jokes when it's a sexual assault where a man was the victim. I feel badly for this guy whatever it was though because I know people are going to end up making fun of him.

That's disgusting. I'm from Toronto and I'm ashamed at those reactions. I'm a woman and I saw this subreddit mentioned a few times since being on Reddit and since I actually do believe in men's rights (I've had way too many male friends screwed over in life) I thought I'd join here to show my support. I'm a woman and I think Jezebel is one of the single worst websites out there. Their 'writers' are ridiculous, their 'stories' are even more ridiculous and I hate how Jezebel fans letch on other Gawker sites in the comments and continue to whine there (like on Deadspin). I stopped going to the Gawker sites about four months ago.
