And what other reason do you cite as to why the poor are poor? Oh man... being born into a poor family. Google economic mobility in the United States. We are terrible. Racial differences perhaps Is see it via a class framework. Yes people are generally racist. Google in group bias. The very rich exploit that to stay very rich. "I know we just shipped your job to Vietnam, canceled social programs and jacked up the cost of college but watch out for that black guy! He'll make babies and collect gov…

You can make lots of money and live comfortably. Really? That is the lie of neo-liberalism and its why TRP is allowed on reddit. You guys start to talk about how unfair the system is (you do) and then you start to talk about organizing to fight back... suddenly you will be a terrorist group or a hate group or a whatever the fuck group one of the RICHEST GUYS in world THAT OWNS REDDIT wants you to be and you are gone. This 'community' is managed by oligarchs. You guys are safe so long as you talk…

State parks are in the $25 a night range. That includes power and water. It has a black water (poo) and gray water (shower) holding tank. I can do about 2 or 3 days before I have to empty those tanks unless I happen to be at a spot where there is a sewer dump right there. Some parks have them at the camp site. Others have a central dumping station for everyone... the 'dump station' is usually near the park exit and dumping the tanks there takes all of 2 minutes. The parks usually limit you to 2 …

It was about 15K brand new. But I guess $1500 of that was delivery. If you go pick it up you could save some $$ but I did not have the time as I'm way down there in Florida ;) I'm pretty handy and I don't think I could build one as nice for that cheap. I'm sure I could not actually...

Scamp was cheaper and lighter... I've not seen a 13ft casita in person but I'd guess it's a bit heavier and a bit fancier. The inside of this is very much fiberglass. It has the feel of the inside of a small sailboat.

The dinette makes a bed a bit bigger than a twin. I'm just under 6ft and I can stand without bumping my head. If I were any taller it would be a no go.

Have you checked out those tiny houses? I also have a tiny fuel efficient car. At 1500lbs I can tow this with anything that can take a class II hitch.

That's happened to me as well... I work in academia. It happened years ago and I immediately realized never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever talk to a woman or smile or be even slightly friendly. My go to move if cornered is to point to me ear and say 'I'm sorry but my hearing is not very good. Could you email me as I'm walking away.' I won't talk to a woman in academia. I won't get in an elevator with one. When asked to review work by a female graduate it's always 'perfect' and I have ZERO co…
