if a person has 10 dates and 1 of these is for food, the chance of being "the food date" is 1 in 10. if we scale this to 1000 people, at 33% having done it minimum statistics means 333 dates out of potentially using the same 10 dates as above 10000 dates, or 3.3% overall risk to be the food date.

most people commute to work by car, but how many do it because they have to? that's the point. going by car is hands down the more convenient faster option 90% of the time. in the US the bus network simply isn't there. you might be able to get in the general vicinity to where you need to go but you need to change busses 3 times and you got 15 minutes of wait between doing so. meanwhile the guy driving beat you there by 30 minutes. and that's what we talk about when it comes to public transport, …
