The scaling back of abortion rights in the U.S. is constantly blamed on men, even though it's not a male position, it's a Republican one, and approx. half of Republicans supporting it are women. How does lack of access to abortion benefit men in any way? It makes no sense. All that the women hollering about this and holding sex strikes are accomplishing is pushing away the 50% of Democrats (men) that would otherwise be their allies.

It's to save the state money. So many of these young mothers will end up on the public dole if the man isn't obligated to pay. Forcing men to pay has better outcomes for the child and for the state. Is it fair? Not at all. But that's why it happens, and why it will probably never change.

Because if you do it and make it through, you get to go back to a regular life. Good for you and that is noble, but if I were lucid Bruce Willis with the access to all of his resources, I wouldn't want my wife and daughters doing those things after my mind had gone. I would want them to do exactly what they did and to live their lives (especially since people can potentially live for quite a while with dementia). They could visit me, but I wouldn't want them being my nurses and wiping my ass and remembering me that way.

They made a movie that's basically 2 hours of man-bashing, often in ways that were explicitly inaccurate (e.g. the Mattel board of directors being all-male when in real life it's half female) and got it in front of basically everyone in the world with a mountain of buzz, but that's still not good enough.
