Her and her friends can all fuck right off. Block, delete, avoid at all costs, live your life in peace.

"The truth of the matter is, you only really get divorced for 3 things."

Lock in on YOU! Therapy is a good thing! I feel you on the motivation to work out, that struggle is real. But all it takes is pushing yourself out the door ONE TIME. Let her do what she's gonna do and deal with life when it inevitably comes at her. Focus on yourself and the change will happen without you even realizing it. I'm sort of speaking this into existence for myself as I'm saying it to you, though not the EXACT same situation. But KEEP GOING. We got your back brotha.

I've had this kind of stuff suggested to me and half-tried to do it, always said journaling doesn't work for me. I'm trying to do it and stick with it now through this process, seeing how it's helped so many people on this sub

Same here, and also wondering about digital photos. I used to look forward to looking at the memories that popped up in my feed every day but now I almost don't want to look at photos at all. I also don't want to trash memories with the kids or of places the 2 of us traveled to. Anyone else deal with this? What did you do?

The flipping of the switch really is wild. Probably what caught me most off guard. I'm just a month or 2 into the process but still haven't adjusted to how shut off and cold she is. I'm giving you what you want, I'm the one doing all the suffering -- would it kill you to just be, like, nice? If it makes OP feel any better, my should-be 10th anniversary is in September and we will almost certainly still be firmly entrenched in the process, so we will technically be married but definitely not cele…

Lots of echoes of my current situation in here and lots of great advice and validation in the comments. Nice to not feel so alone. Really appreciate this sub more and more each day since I found it recently.

The irony of me constantly being in training for a marathon for the last 14 years/duration of my marriage yet being unable thus far to channel the emotions and racing thoughts of divorce process through working out. (The issues that caused despite stbx also being a runner/athlete are subject for another post another day)

Could you say a little more about this? I'm in the very early stages and my stbx is the one who asked for it but this struck me for some reason and I'd like to learn more. You can PM me if that's preferable

This really hit me. Stbx would always say "I know I'm not perfect and I've done and said some horrible things in the past but I admit when I'm wrong and I apologize. But YOU..." Eventually I was able to break through and we had one conversation on a Thursday night, followed by a couples session the next day where I really got her to see her part in the breakdown of our marriage (not every issue, but one huge one, deep resentment stemming from her taking away my agency and pushing me into big dec…

This was my exact read on couples therapy. 2 years and 3 or 4 therapists later, I'm now firmly in the divorce process. I've also felt really mixed about my own individual therapy journey. I connect well with my therapist (finally, after several swings and misses) and I believe she has my best interests at heart. I've finally started medication I've probably needed for far too long (me failing to do so contributed greatly to issues between me and stbxw), though I'm not sure how much it's helping …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
