The last time I peppered my angus they told me that an antibiotic shot was easier and faster.

Riiiiight. I’m going to trust a screen shot. Couldn’t possibly be faked.

Can you actually share an attorney? Doesn’t that present a conflict of interests?

Sounds like no real first mover advantage for the most part. I’m not really worried about a restraining order or OP. If she filed on my adult kids would know it’s bullshit and she wouldn’t ever want to appear as the bad guy.

How was she able to get to YOUR 401k?

This sounds close to my situation. Keeps giving me deadlines and ultimatums. Tired of putting up with all the yelling and verbal abuse.

These are parent loans. Kids also went on to higher education. Always in private schools so I’ve paid tuition forever. Majority of tuition covered. Would like to use HELOC to pay off loans. I’m pushing back on the car. She thinks she wants an SUV. God only knows why.

She says she WANTS to stay in the house. I haven’t said I would let her keep the house, nor do I have plans to move out. But she wants to stay there because of the dog (I travel for work, hers is p/t) so I’m not against it. But, she may be in for a rude awakening around her expectations.

Sorry to hear. My situation is related to control. I absolutely hate that.

We have about $450k in home equity and <$50k HELOC. Got $100k in college loans to pay off. $10k in savings. Cars are not new (2017 and 2005). She wants to replace the 2005.

I’m in NJ. I heard lifetime alimony ends at 65 but can’t verify this. I also know she is entitled to either her social security or half mine. 2 kids grown and out of the house.

Jeez. Share the name so I don’t wind up with her. DM if needed. I’m in NJ.

I’m not a shit talker about other people no matter what. I’m just tired of the verbal abuse and control issues.

Agreed. But I understand the anger behind it so I try to let it roll off. However, there is a point where I draw the line. And when I’m told “it’s my way or the highway “….screw that. It’s a relationship not a control situation.

That’s my point. Try to be a bigger better person in this situation. But if I stay it’s that much harder with all the verbal abuse. The end goal is to work on myself without becoming an incel.

This is part of why I’m at this stage. The way I’m treated would turn me into an incel. I know my flaws and have tried to address them but marriage is a 2 way street of give and take and she is nothing but demands.

Been down that route. She doesn’t want it.

Why does it make a difference in who files first? Asking out of our ignorance. We want to keep this as reasonably amicable as possible. Does anyone know what happens with the home? Is there a way we can both stay in the house? Btw thanks for the help.
