| 6 | The Denial & Anger Phase... Where is it?This comes from the five stages of grief, theorized by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross. This is from Wikipedia: Elisabeth Kübler-Ross noted that the stages are not meant to be a complete list of all possible emotions that could be felt, and they can occur in any order. Her hypothesis holds that not everyone who experiences a life-threatening or life-altering event feels all five of the responses, due to reactions of personal losses differing between people. | 2 | LiesThank you for both differentiating the difference between honesty and being forthcoming, and the tip about letting them think I'm smarter. In my experience, I can speak at the same level as others in order to join in their conversation. I do like words, though, and I may have to be more thoughtful in my vocabulary, because my ego is definitely tied to my intelligence. ♂ | /r/askTRP | 13/10/14 07:32 PM |
| 1 | LiesThat makes sense. I don't really go to bars, as I don't find drunkenness very attractive. I guess I'll have to find those conferences where people give a little bit of a shit, or learn how to approach women in supermarkets and on the street. Thanks. ♂ | /r/askTRP | 13/10/14 07:31 PM |
| 1 | LiesGood point. I guess the examples I read I didn't really find funny, but I can see how others might. To me, it felt more contrived, and contrived is never funny. Maybe it's in the delivery, though, which can't be conveyed through a post. I will consider that going forward. | /r/askTRP | 13/10/14 06:47 PM |
