My dad was helping my aunt move a table saw. Now, to preface this, those things are fucking heavy. When my uncle dropped his end, and the entire weight of the table came smashing down on my dad's fingers, cutting off the tip of his middle finger, my aunt tried to rush him to the hospital. He decided to put a bag of frozen peas on it and wait an hour or two before getting back to moving the table saw. Pain tolerance is an individual factor, not a gendered factor.

I had this exact conversation with one of the srsers lurking into the wild in regards to the lack of female politicians, ceos etc. They refused to acknowledge that if your feelings get in the way of what you want to do with your life (IE: they made a joke I didn't like, or made fun of me when I tried to do it, so I'm not gonna do it) they aren't cut out for it, or they didn't really want to do it in the first place.

If you were in this situation, where you've adopted and cared for a child for a year, more than likely formed a strong bond with the child, what would you do? Also, as for what's best for the child, to the adoptive parents, keeping the child is what's best for her. think back to a time when you've done something that you were absolutely positive was right, but other people were absolutely positive was wrong. it's all a matter of perspective
