It’s polite to follow back. It would be pretty awkward to say no to someone’s face

As a woman, they were politely rejecting you.

Being direct works if you’re attractive enough and it’s the right kind of woman. But social games, flirting, etc. exist for a reason, to test out chemistry and express your interest.

While seemingly hypocritical, it’s fair to want to choose when you are sexualized. Everyone wants to be sexualized, but have control over it. Also possible that she is bragging. But this could be subconscious.

This is true, but also applies to a man having genuine friends around him, not being a loner, etc.

That's a great point. I've had men brag to me before about their high count...but it comes across as pathetic. I genuinely don't really care, it's not a turn on or anything.

It definitely happens. Especially with jealous men.

Both of you guys are correct. I've been that woman before, and that's the response I get most of the time. I've tried to delude myself with that sentiment, but I still feel shitty, because I know better. And it's not like anyone OWES another person a relationship. But a lot of women need the self-awareness to understand when they're leading men on, especially if they're going to complain about the reverse.

If a guy's ugly and fit, he's ugly and fit. But it's a hell of a lot better than being ugly and unfit, yeah?

You're definitely correct. Our whole society is truly reflective of urges of attraction that we have no control over.

A moderate approach to vulnerability is attractive in a man. If he's way too closed off it's also scary.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
