Maxim, FHM, and countless websites that feature sexy pictures of extremely beautiful women (often celebrities) seem to suggest that there is some conditioning along this line. I was banned from SRSD, and as far as I can tell it was because I called someone out on intersectional privilege and suggested that they consider not using a certain term in an ableist, victim-blaming manner: two things prominently on their sidebar as things that should be accepted by everyone there. Then his wife accused him of attacking her, his evidence was ignored, and he was institutionalized 6 years for "paranoia". An audit of the bank recently vindicated his claims. Hypocrisy. The concept of "privilege" in general is meant to refer to the fact that people in certain situations cannot know what it is like to live in different situations, and therefore should not judge those who do live in those different situations when they describe them as being difficult, harmful, or unjust. 1	Non-Western Feminism Recently, a young Pakistani girl was shot by member(s) of the Taliban for standing up for girl's right to education. I think this is both an example of why action for womens'/girls' rights is needed in that region, as well as an example of entirely admirable advocacy for the rights of women/girls. 3	Guy refuses drunk-sex with girlfriend because of legal implications. Feminist in thread are outraged that he won't "accept her right to consent" and "clearly doesn't trust her". None of them mention or care that this is a legal problem that needs fixing. (x-post from r/sex) Thank you both for mentioning this.
