Psychology - statistics to derive conclusions from empirical phenotypical observations. Neuroscience - valid as fuck, but lacks teleological theories. Very high volume of available data and studies. Unless people speak in the language of stats or lab neuroscience, they know nothing and should be dismissed.

Beyond quantifiable measurements (e.g., height, body-fat, net worth, etc.), we can really only rely on heuristics. For example, the average man is surprised when a stranger approaches him first, yet it isn't completely outside the realm of possibility.
