I've come to this conclusion as well. Back when I was dating women, my life was filled with a lot more stress, I slept less and I was less focused overall. Doing what I want, making 100K writing software and another 20K renting real estate and spending saving it how I want. Whittled my monthly expenses down to $1500 and should be sub-$1000 in a 1-2 years and sub-$750 is my ultimate goal. That sums up my experience as well, I'll dip into the online dating world every 6-12 months and go on a few dates for fun. I've spent a lot of time in the gym over the last 2 years and gained about 30 Lbs (now 6'3 - 220 Lbs) and I've noticed the appearances of the women that I end up going out with has improved. I'd recommend soylent, I consume 2K calories of it a day and I also consume about 1.5K of other calories because gym. I can safely say that it saves me about 1-2 hours a day in meal prep, driving, etc. Since time is money, it's also important to focus on saving time.
