How does one figure out confidence to be fake? There's many different ways we show confidence – through our words, through our body language, through our actions. When someone acts true to himself, whether with confidence or a lack thereof, all of these elements will be working in sync to reflect their state of mind. When someone tries to fake it, there's a risk that these elements will not match up. For example, you could be saying and doing all the right things to charm a girl while your body …

Ask yourself: What is your confidence based on? For many guys, their confidence (and even self-worth) is tied to being social and talking to girls. Makes sense, right? When that's the goal, that's what you end up judging yourself on. This can be great at times. Say you start off a night feeling social, and you have a few great conversations. Your confidence builds off of each interaction, and all of a sudden you're riding that high for the rest of the night. This is what people call being "in st…

i said im glad we met give me a hug! when she came in for the hug, i brushed her hair back from her ear and whispered in her ear "coworker better not leave us alone tonight" and when i pulled back i kept really strong eye contact and was still holding her hips. One thing I (and a lot of people it seems) really need to work on is sexualizing the interaction before we kiss, so examples like this are great. Thank you.

Neither of those are too bad, and certainly not deal breakers. In your first example, there's nothing wrong with staying at the bar. But your biggest concern throughout the night should be keeping yourself entertained, so instead of just looking around or staring at your phone, strike up a conversation with someone around you or the bartender while you wait! Your time is valuable, you might as well spend it socializing. It doesn't matter who you talk to, doesn't even have to be a girl, the mere …

If your goal is to be friends with them? No. If your goal is to have a physical relationship? Yes.

That's easy to say if you naturally take rejection well, but saying this does absolutely nothing for the OP. Outcome independence isn't usually something you can just turn on and off unfortunately, it's built up through practice and experience. The more experiences you have to fall back on, the less sensitive you'll be to each individual event. So yes, rejection will hurt at first. Yes, you might feel like a piece of shit afterwards. But don't let that stop you! The key is to keep your head up a…

No matter what you do or what the result is, as long as you take action you're making progress.

Before anyone comes along and gives you actual lines to say or methods for escalating, I really want to stress this to you, because it was a huge sticking point for me: Don't feel like you have to escalate in the 'smoothest way possible'. If you're constantly waiting for that perfect opportunity to present itself, the perfect line to come to you, or the perfect move to make, nothing will ever happen, because there is no such thing.
