0	Need help with an argument on wage gap. This isn't exactly what OP is looking for though. OP wants to be able to say "there is no wage gap". While saying what you suggest would acknowledge that there is a wage gap partially caused by men and women following traditional gender roles, eg. women valuing time with the kids more, men valuing career more. 6	Someone Gets It! I agree with you mostly. The part you are missing is that for every bigger, diversity focused company willing to try extra hard to get their diversity numbers up there are tons of small companies where people are only focused on getting people that "fit in well with the team" and "are cool to hang out with" or "I want to hire people I'd be willing to get a beer with" mentality. The problem is the unconscious bias, when you close your eyes and picture a software engineer, someone who "fits in with the team's culture", you probably don't picture a woman.
