It's a big mistake to allow this. My husband and I did this and while we loved each other very much, what my younger stupider self did not realize was it opens the door to disrespect and breaks down a relationship slowly but efficiently. Protect the respect always.

Now that's some Queen shit! Love it. Stay practical and free of bitterness always. Thanks for sharing.

I'm newly single and new to FDS as well as in the 99 percentile for extroversion (I took a big 5 personality test) So this isolation I figured would just about kill me. However, I find I really am using this time to "Level Up" I work out a few times a day. I have reconnected with old friends in a meaningful way. I have rediscovered my creativity and have been creative writing. I don't seem to hate this at all! I spend 17 years with my ex and have been single for 9 months, it has been a struggle …

My favorite advice is: opportunity is found, right where someone else has dropped their responsibility. In all aspects of life I watch for the people dropping their responsibility and see if it opens up an opportunity for me.

It's sad but I have accepted it and am leveling up myself so I can move on. We both deserve happiness even if it's not together.

When I left my husband he worked really hard on himself and is turning into a HVM. I take a lot of shit for leaving him because he said he didn't see it coming. I didn't do counseling or stay to fight for a few months. I worked on my marriage as best I could until one day I knew he was never going to put in that effort. I moved out two days later and didn't look back, even when he was begging and promising to change. Now he is changing but he never would have had I not left.

I have given up my FWB and deleted dating apps. I have never in my adult life gone this long without sex and It's starting to feel difficult. I am being strong but the urge is always there. Hoping my self-respect holds out!!

I hate that the ball is in my court, I hate chasing men! I did not like bumble and deleted it almost immediately. They have to chase me otherwise I'm not interested. Just my opinion. I am working very hard to get rid of my pick me ways but this one was a no brainer.

I have read it twice, lol but man it's hard to drop the pick me ways. Just going to have to do it until it gets easy I guess.

I just did this and he has never been more attentive, still, has me wondering when he will slip back to his old ways. If so blocked!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
