| 1 | Wow...just wowI really don't think this is a feminist viewpoint. At least in my experience, a traditionalist viewpoint assumes men are aggressors and women are victims. The helplines should both just be Domestic violence hotlines and then the all should be routed to somebody who can help victims- male or female- or people concerned about their own behavior male or female. Men are more likely to work dangerous jobs because it is seen as a male trait to be a provider for the family, even if this means taking greater risks. Those dangerous jobs are also physically demanding in such a way that women generally cannot perform to the same basic levels as men generally could, so that part is just practicalities.
