I get it. I'm not physically fit lol, but the other stuff resonates. I'm turning 30 in a few months and I can't get away from guys who claim to want something stable, yet truly want FWB and are too ashamed or too stupid to admit love isn't at the forefront for them. My last boyfriend was hyper sexual and it was so boring. It was hard to do anything I wanted because everything boiled down to his selfish needs. If I could find a partner more on my level, it would be great. Alas…

Aw, internet hug! Btw… not that this necessarily applies to you, but I consider myself homoromantic asexual due to the whole cuddling > sexing thing. Check out r/asexuality, maybe?

I really wish you weren't so right on all this. In my sociology course my last semester of college, we identified all these issues in the straight community as contributing factors to the oppression and prevention of progress of the LGBT community.

I can't buy my girlfriend flowers or take someone out to dinner without them thinking it's just to get in their pants. I had no idea gay men had to face this as well, tough world. It's an unbearably awful reality. To want to express joy toward someone else without it being sexually charged… people just don't believe it's possible.

It is my experience that there seems to be two type of gay men Now, I wouldn't go so far as to say the flamboyant gay men are harming gay rights (because in all honesty, fuck all if men can't wear skirts and heels!), but what does harm the cause is when men overtly curse out their straight brethren. Then and only then do I believe that being a "femme" guy (or really that trait to be found in anybody) is harmful.

This was, quite frankly, adorable. I'm not a furry, but here's an upvote in the hopes I get an adorable furry hug.

With all that is known about how divorce court discriminates against men, why would gays want to participate in a legal marriage. Legal benefits. Right to visitation when your spouse is sick in the hospital; tax breaks; adoption becomes easier when you're not viewed as legally 'single'; etc. Secondly gays are better funded and organized that men's rights, gays rights need us like the woman's rights needs us. Sad to hear it, but I asked for honest opinions, so thanks.

gay men are treated much worse than gay women It's a truly unfortunate reality. I think that boils down to gay women as being viewed as sexual objects (i.e. lesbian porn) whereas two men interacting with each other is "disgusting". Sigh.

If only everyone felt the way you do, the world would be a much more generous and — dare I say it — happier place.

gay people are super Shh, our powers are a secret!! Aside from that, thanks a ton. I'm really glad to hear there's some unity in fighting against stereotyping here!

I'd hate to say it, but I've seen a lot of — let's say strange — arguments unfold over rights here on /r/mensrights. But of course I'm always glad to know there are supporters! Thank you.

Haven't you all had gay marriage since the 90s? I could only wish that my country (USA) were as progressive! Thanks for your support!

Actually for centuries Spain was considered Africa due to the moros who conquered the majority of the terrain and lived their, fermenting their intellectual skills with the natives. Damn African education! /s

Men's Rights isn't about targeting and belittling women. It's about rectifying male-only oppression.

As someone who is both homosexual and atheist living in America, I understand your frustration. If I talk about my sexuality regarding rights, people have my back, but the second I mention that men shouldn't be obliged to military service if women aren't, or that women should take a punch just like a man if they start a physical fight, everyone backs off and tells me I have male privilege. I have the privilege of being told in my own country that I am forced to serve for the military if a draft …

PLEASE teach him that, just because he feels one thing to be normal doesn't mean it is normal. Too frequently, I hear little kids say "that's weird" to anything from speaking a foreign language, to not eating breakfast. Of course, kids naturally point out things that are distinguishable from their own "realm" of reality, however that doesn't mean they shouldn't be taught that what they call normal isn't the only normal. If we would teach our kids to be this way, bullying would probably decrease,…

When I was ten-years-old, I twisted my ankle. My father told me to man up; for the first time in my life, I stood up to myself and said, "How do you define 'man'?" I completely agree with this sentiment. It's really difficult to overreact in public about something like this, though, because people will think that you're one of a select few who feels outrage by statements like that.

I'm ashamed that we live in such a backward society that wanting a child to be free of certain prejudices welcomes a "the hell" in lieu of thought-provoking discussion about how we tend to segregate what is for boys and what is for girls. Good on them.

This was full of shit, I'm sorry. Not everyone experiences life the same way, and I hate when people try to generalize and make little bulleted lists explicitly stating what is and what isn't.

There is something inherently wrong about this. Culture changes as time progresses. The hairy-chested, thick-armed brute of the sixties and seventies did not regress or become womanly. Androgyny is becoming more and more plentiful in our society, and it is not a bad thing. People now have the opportunity to not be judged for how they display themselves. If someone wants to be narcissistic and kiss himself in the mirror and take a photo of himself, let him! If marines or other army personnel want…
