In other comments she confirms that he is tearing her down emotionally and is making her feel very low about herself. Read between the lines, man.

It's okay that you love him, it's okay that you want him to love you. That's called being human. He can see your love for him, but what he's choosing to do is raise the bar to a standard that's impossible for you to meet. It's like climbing a cliffside where every time you get close, an avalanche of rocks slams into you, pushing you down further. This behavior is not normal, and it's not fair to you. You can bring up this with him, but if he's not willing to listen to your legitimate concerns, t…

Because she's clearly in an abusive relationship and you've told her not to listen to other advice and that it's her duty to save him. Doing nice things and being friendly to people is a choice, it's no one's duty. It's not her job to set a good example, and if he's been tearing her down this whole relationship and she's come here as a cry for help, then it's our job to help her. Not to force her to stay with him to be a dutiful white night girlfriend. He needs help with his beliefs, and he can …

Yeah it really does. And it's on purpose. He knows he's hurting you and he doesn't care, because he wants you to feel too low to ever leave. It's him being desperate and insecure and purposefully taking that out on you. It's terrible, but it's what they do. I don't know how long you've been together, but I was with mine for about 10 months. It took me three tries to breakup because if I tried, he'd be all, "You're just hormonal, you don't know what you want, nobody else could put up with you, et…

No, no, bad advice. It is not her job to play white knight here. He cannot leave RP if he doesn't want to, and there's nothing she can say that will convince him otherwise. Also, telling a woman to stay in an abusive relationship for the sake of emotionally supporting the man is just all-around terrible advice.

I dated a guy who held similar beliefs, and it was the little comments throughout the day that he'd make that slowly chipped away at my confidence. I remember it got to a point where I felt so low about myself, and that made it really hard to walk away. But I had to walk away for myself. Because I still loved myself just enough to know that I deserved better, and I hope you do too. I don't know him or your relationship, and he may have been a great, loving boyfriend once, but RP just makes that …

Dude why are you with him? He doesn't respect you as an equal, doesn't respect your intelligence, just straight up doesn't respect you. Why are you wasting your time with someone who truly believes you to be less than? You may think "Oh but I'm different," like NO! You're a woman, he actively worships content that preaches women bad mentality. To me, that means he doesn't respect you. I'm sorry but I just don't see how this could possibly be a healthy dynamic. Girl, you can do so much better tha…

Women help women out of these kinds of situations all the time. Whether it be a girl at a bar coming up to me, throwing her arms around me, and pretending like we’re best friends, or just noticing that a girl has been drugged and helping her get home because we’ve been so heavily trained to see what date rape drugs look like, or if we’re in the bathroom and a girl comes in there upset/stressed and needs help, or—yeah—if we see a girl get hit by her boyfriend and we need to either distract him so…

You could be unintentionally nervous when interacting with women, and it comes off as "creepy." I'll admit, I've definitely misunderstood a guy as creepy when really he was just nervous or socially awkward. It can be hard to judge sometimes, and it's typically safer to air on the side of caution. I agree with the comment about starting friendships online. Online friendships are awesome to have, and a great jumping off point for interacting with people. It can help you build up confidence, which …

I don't know if you've ever heard of Daryl Davis, but he's a guy who's spent his life basically taking down the KKK from the inside out. Really cool dude. His whole approach is to befriend a KKK member and then innocently plant a seed of doubt into their logic. So he listens with empathy, and then finds the loopholes. Like if a KKK member is talking about how all black people are violent, he might ask them to name a single black serial killer. When the person fails to name one, he'll start listi…

Jesus, I’m so sorry that happened to you. Those comments are disgusting. Please don’t take any of them to heart, they’re written by people who obviously don’t know the first thing about how humans work.

Nope, never, not unless we're saying it ironically. I've dated RP's version of "alpha" guys (tall blond haired, blue eyed jock) and I've dated RP's version of "beta" guys (5'5" asian anime-loving nerd). In the end, my relationships that ended had nothing to do with whether or not they had a strong jawline or how ripped they were, it had everything to do with us just not being compatible. And honestly? I would never be able to date a guy who believed in the RP mentality. It's such a toxic, gridde…

You went on one date, sounds like you guys didn’t really hit it off, and so she’s cancelling the second date and distancing herself from you. Doesn’t mean you’re a bad person or she’s a bad person, just means you two don’t click.

So in a sort of opposite scenario, I'm a girl who's close with a couple. I never thought I'd like third wheeling, but these two people are awesome and never make me feel like an "other." The guy had this restaurant he'd been wanting to try for years but his gf hated that type of food, so he asked her if it was okay if he took me to the restaurant during one of her girl's nights with her friends. Because they have that deep trust in each other, and because they've both taken the time to get to kn…

Am woman, can confirm RP’s “woman” ideology is bullshit that just makes guys view us as another species to be controlled rather than actual human beings with individual personalities. For example, I work as an audio engineer, aka a male dominated industry. My close friends are all guys obviously. Have never, not even once, wanted to hook up with any of them. Why? Because I go to work to work. I’m a woman, yeah, but I also have my own aspirations and desires. I don’t want to be a freaking housewi…

I used to date a guy that, looking back, I believe had a lot of RP ideologies. I didn't break up with him because he didn't have a strong jawline or because he was only 5'5", I broke up with him because he was a big jerk and made me feel bad about myself. I hope he got help, honestly. I could see the good in him, it was just hidden under a lot of issues.

The issue with RP ideology is that it’s just not true. People don’t join RP because they’re having great success with women, they join because they’re lost and hurt like you. So why are you trusting these guys who, frankly, know nothing about women to tell you how women work? Think about it. If I wanted to learn about say Italian culture, would it make more sense for me to go interact and talk to Italian people or for me to go ask Joe and Phil, who haven’t ever had a conversation with a real Ita…

Women have been badly hurt and even killed at the hands of men who had RP beliefs. Getting involved with a redpiller, or someone with similar views (aka the Nice Guy™️, as we call them), is most women's #1 fear in dating. And as another commenter said, the "good parts" of the Red Pill aren't exclusive to RP thinking, they're more just generic self-help tips you can find almost anywhere. Honestly? Sorry OP, but she's probably gone. I'd apologize still if I were you, but don't hold your breath tha…

I love how bad these types of men are at being able to tell boob size. Like I wear a D cup, but you'd never look at me and say I have large boobs. I don't even have true cleavage. It just goes to show how little they really pay attention to women.

See I hate this comic because it’s missing a very vital thing: context. We have this guy at work who “flirts” with all the women. He is, by all RP standards, unattractive. He’s this out of shape Hispanic dude with long, stringy hair. But he’s hilarious, has an awesome personality, and so every day when I walk into work and he goes “Damn, she’s hot today!” I just laugh, shoot something back, and continue on. Cuz it’s not serious, it’s just for fun. But there’s a tall, athletic white guy that flir…

That sounds like a BDSM thing, which is consensual and has things like rules and safe words. I have a friend that’s into choking during sex. But if her bf suddenly walked up to her and started choking her out of the blue, she didn’t give consent to that and therefore that is abuse. Bedroom kinks to NOT translate to real life situations.

No, that’s called abuse. Men say these things to justify their abuse. “She was asking for it! She liked it!” No, she wasn’t asking for it. She didn’t like it. She was scared and wanted it to stop. Women will typically do/say anything to get out of the situation safely. Sometimes that means “going along with it” because we don’t know if fighting back will quite literally end up with us dead.

I obviously can’t really say whether for sure she’s a good fit for you, only you can say that, but I just want to break down a few key things here. First, her taking boxing lessons with a male trainer isn’t a red flag. It’s boxing lessons, she’s not dating him. And having male friends isn’t a red flag either. Limiting your friends to only one gender is a terribly boring way to live, as you’re cutting off half the human population. You mention that she talks about having male friends who all want…

The thing is, as a woman it’s REALLY easy to tell when I guy has these redpill beliefs irl. The vocabulary they use, the way they will talk about you and women in general, it’s just red flag after red flag. I’ve met guys like this and after about 5 minutes of interacting I’ll tell my close friends “Don’t let this guy get me in a room alone with him.” Yet, so many of these guys go online bragging about how many “females” they’re getting and how the red pill’s philosophies on picking up women have…

Also, being able to take care of yourself outside of your looks is just as important. I've liked guys before but ultimately turned them down because I knew if we ever dated and moved in together, I would be the one doing all the cooking/cleaning. I'm looking for a partnership, not to be someone's cute maid.

I find if you want to learn about a type of person, it’s usually best to just talk to people in that group. For example, if I wanted to learn about Russian culture, I’d probably learn a lot more by asking Russian people than, say, a group of random Canadians. Seeing as I’m a woman living in the US, if you don’t mind I’d like to describe what it was like to live in an apartment with three other women, all from different regions in the US. We were all getting our undergrad degree, and I lived with…

Hey, fellow woman here! I lurk in subs like this I think because I dated a guy once who felt like I owed him sex and would pressure me for hours and guilt me if I said no until I would say yes. A lot of his messed up views on women can be attributed to his home country’s culture where women have no power, and he wasn’t really able to shake a lot of that stuff when he moved to the US. Either way, when I broke up with him (after the third attempt) all I could feel was immense relief. I wasn’t trap…
