I already live in downtown of a huge city and have for a couple of years... I walk everywhere and rarely interact with anyone during the day. I would probably have to force myself but I guess that's the same as cold approaching... As for extra-curricular hobbies, I guess I could try to find one that is co-ed, I have more masculine hobbies (lifting, martial arts) so meeting women there is kinda rare. Not rich, but making above average money right now for my age for sure, yet haven't had luck with…

I think this is true but how does someone who's been anti-social have a solid social life? How does one build one from ground up?

What about doing this with random people you see throughout the day on the bus, etc. I just find it weird to stare at someone in the eye on the bus. Do you just maintain the eye contact with an expressionless face, smile, or what?

Honestly, I don't see entirely how this helps with approaching... seems like it helps make your interactions better with people once you've already approached.

Do you smile too or it's literally just maintaining the eye contact? I'm interested in trying this so I'm curious

What is supposed to happen if I do this for 4 weeks? I feel like I'll just look like a creep staring girls down and won't approach anyway...

Right, it'd be more of a thing to see if I could potentially like dancing. I think yoga could be fun but I probably wouldn't interact with women there, kinda just do my class and leave.

So what's the solution from your perspective?

I'm able to interact with female coworkers at work (although they're mid-30s) and it's usually strictly for work but I noticed I'm still fairly reserved when talking to them compared to when I'm talking with guys whereas I can be myself if that makes sense. And it's weird because I don't find these women attractive nor have any interest in them. I will still try some club with women in it (thinking dance at this point as it'll force me to interact and touch women). Even if I get comfortable inte…

I would totally practice but how do I know if it's the "correct" smile. What looks normal to me may not look natural to someone else, if that makes sense...

I did consider this at one point but didn't really want to because I don't have an interest. I'm not a big fan of dancing or yoga but it attracts females. I guess it couldn't hurt to take a few classes (especially partner dancing) as it'll force me to interact with girls. I may be a nervous wreck but at least it'll get me pushing myself.

I feel like if I just forget about it and don't actively work on it, I'll just be doing what I've always done and get no where. But on the other hand if I focus on it too much, I'll put pressure on it and it'll just make it more difficult. But yes, as the other person mentioned maybe taking some sort of class with more females that requires you to interact may help as it'll force me to talk to them.

I have this problem too, resting bitch face. Can't fake a natural smile, even in pictures, I can't do it. I'm not even sure how I can practice this. When I try, it just looks forced and I look retarded.

I feel like picking up chicks near work isn't the best of idea just because you'll be there all the time and you don't want to be seen as that guy (especially if you go out with coworkers later and then see a chick you approached like that)... But then again I'm terrible with women so I wouldn't know.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
