you have to hangout with people outside of class, there's really no way around that

okay before you all go off trying to poke holes in everything i say, let me explain the reason why i wanted to share this. i read the game in 2006 and thought it was the coolest thing ever. i watched neil strauss interviews and was awe struck (jessica alba interview), and watched the pick up artist series and idolized mystery/matador. recently, it seems as though the pick up community has shifted more towards a holistic, almost personal development type attitude (RSD owen has tons of videos abou…

the T. Harv Eker and Jordan Belfort episodes are some of my favorites also, just discovered Tucker Max's podcast called the mating grounds podcast, pretty awesome, definitely more "pick up" related. it's interesting to see his perspective on things, especially after reading i hope they serve beer in hell.

don't quote me exactly on the stats but it's something like 10% of communication is the actual content of what you say, and 90% is the body language/intonation/delivery of what you say. also, don't think you need to keep talking just to keep talking, that's awkward too. i think (and i'm still working on this - full disclosure) the key is to just own it, whatever that may be, and be CLEAR about it. if you don't want to talk, own that. if you think something's interesting but it might be "weird" o…

i agree with captainjack. i think with a little encouragement 50% of girls (the natural introverts) will dive right into this type of conversation, and the others might need a bit more coaxing. if/when you do get any sort of deeper response, give her some positive reinforcement, "i think it's awesome that you like to dive a bit deeper into conversation, most people like to keep it very surface level but that's boring" and continue.

check out the knowledge for men podcast. it's hosted by a guy named andrew ferebee, and he does interviews with all kinds of authors, speakers, athletes, businessmen, entrepreneurs, trainers, etc and talks to them about success and just their life journey. i've found it to be incredibly helpful and powerful.

i think the best way to come out of a freeze out is along the lines of option B. something like "hey! sorry lost my phone sat night at the bar, just got it back, how're your teeth / lack there of?" like when you're walking a dog, and he gets all rowdy and starts pulling on the leash. you stop, wait until he stops pulling, then continue as normal. i try to never call out a freeze out. revealing that it was an intentional freeze out just makes you look like a dick.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
