Thank you! This all sounds very useful. You’re probably right regarding the lag between how I perceive myself and how others perceive me. I’ve always been seen as funny in the past so I see myself as funny, but now that I’m in a new setting my brand of humor doesn’t connect well haha. I also am pigeonholed into the “sidekick” role right now, I’m trying to break out of it and carry myself with a more serious attitude so my humor sticks better on people. Rather than being the “dancing monkey”, I w…

This is the type of answer I was looking for! I dress pretty nice, I’d say. The past few days I’ve been putting less effort into how I dress though, mostly a lack of time to prepare my clothes for the day. I struggle to grow a beard but I also take care of my hair. I do think I need some more masculine traits, I think it’d affect my general appearance to people

Yeah. It’s not that I’m seen as unattractive that bothers me but that I’m not even worth considering. I’ve never seen with such unison people just shut me down. It makes me think, am I doing something wrong if it’s a reoccurring pattern and if so what?

I worded my issue poorly. I‘m getting at the fact I’m universally not considered a sexual or masculine option. That’s why I think it has less to do with my looks, I’m fine there, and rather someone else that other people pick up on that I’m not recognizing. A good looking man who isn’t masculine will be viewed in a less desirable light than a good looking and masculine man, or even a less than good looking but still masculine man. I do need some patience, I’ll work on that. Thanks for the advice…

Maybe that’s how I come off, but I’m here for applicable advice. If literally no one finds me sexually attractive at all, I care because that reflects some aspect of my behavior that I’m not aware of. That’s why I mentioned my looks, because I know I’m not an ugly person, let alone a 4, and I’m working on building muscle.

I appreciate it. I don’t know, I have no real connections so to speak, no one I’d consider a “teammate” if I ever struggle. I also hit the gym and drink protein milk each day.

Status really does make or break people’s views on you, especially when it comes to attraction. Extreme examples, but if Rihanna or Beyonce shows up late to a concert, they’ll be deified. If you show up late to your job and you have zero status, you’ll be looked down upon. The things people let slide or accept due to status is crazy, makes me wanna get status!

Hey man, don’t assume she doesn’t like you already. You assume she doesn’t like you and you’re rejecting yourself for her. She’ll make that decision for you, for now just keep it up and make some moves. Tease her and plant the seeds for a relationship, then ask her on a date while you have some momentum. Good luck!

I see, so in a way keeping things to yourself and embellishing the unattractive details of your life? Or if it’s hard to embellish, amplify it like if someone asks if you have any experience with girls and you have none, make some silly retort like “I don’t even know what a woman is.” I feel like I could use some more mystery and keeping things to myself, I’m too open with my life and the only time I’ve had a girl like solicitor say she liked me was when I had some sense of mystery.

Alright, noted. I’ll work on this. I’ve got other elements down for starting escalation, like “rewarding” people with physical touch such as a high five or fist bump and not breaking eye contact until the other person does so - even smiling. If I can get this down and stay on my grind, I’ll see some big improvements!

Huh, wow. I guess that’s my problem, I just feel the need to fill the void or don’t go for it. That anecdote you provided is the kind of person I want to become. One thing is, you kinda already had a sexual frame to work with since you hit on her before, how do you just go for it and make the conversation sexual with some tact? I’m not worried about being a creep as long as I’m honest about my intentions, but if it comes off crude and abrupt, it’d be unattractive.

Good message. It’s important to recognize that as long as you’re happy with yourself, you’re better off than those who are dishonest about who they really are to keep their social status. Everyone does weird stuff throughout their life, there’s going to be multiple people who find you weird no matter what you do. Being honest about who you are and enjoying that version of you will take you far. I’m on my journey to accomplish that, and to be honest there are a lot of things people will let you g…

Good advice, I’ll incorporate all of this into my game! I’ll be honest, I don’t do a good job staying interested in other people. Like during lunch, unless I feel an immediate interest, I go on my phone and only occasionally comment. Or I just stop talking and look around when I lose connection with the conversation, instead of trying to kick start it. I just need some persistence, following through with conversations and putting more effort.

Talking slowly is something I can work on. I talk pretty fast, not a nervous kind of fast but in a very energetic way. When I’m happy, I gesture a lot and talk fast and loud which gives me good responses, so I‘m trying to rebuild myself to that point since I’m in a new environment. Most people just see me as weird and not in an endearing way

I’m a good texter, but I don’t want to focus on texting since it’s easy to put on a persona there. I want to keep my game as genuine as possible, so what can I do irl?

I needed this. I’m finally in an environment with a lot of girls and needed a refresher on how to socialize. This is gold, thank you!

All of these are spot on! I've lost so many friends from 3. I used to complain and whine every day to my friends about something, it drove them away. Honestly, if there's any 1 thing to take away from this, it's to be a person who gives and not takes. If you're constantly whining and complaining or being a negative nancy, you're taking away from other people's joy. If you manage to meet the bare minimum of being a decent person and providing positivity, you'll be in good shape

That’s really understandable, and it’s pretty admirable you made the most out of a situation like that. I didn’t mean to negate any hard work you put in, you put in work which I feel like the other commentator just ignored to focus on superficial stuff. And given all this context, it’s really impressive. I’m glad you made it out of those dark times, it’s really inspiring and I hope the best for you Rereading this, I don’t get any of the comments saying they only took away you had a good life to …

I’m really intrigued by this, that time slows down when doing new things. It really fits with my own experiences. It’s really obvious, but the most memorable and long-lasting memories I have were related to doing new things. I gotta apply this to myself more often!

The takeaway here for you, but I don’t really agree with this. It’s OP’s personal journey, he’s pointing out what worked for him and what he took away from his journey. OP even points it out, he’s lucky to have something to start with. But you have to put in the work still, he worked out and spent time learning about seduction. The point of r/seduction is to bring out the most in you, to have a better time turning potential dates in the “maybe” camp into a “hell yeah” camp. It’s all about initia…

Yeah I’ve noticed a lot of people commenting on the sub seem anti-r/seduction. Way too many cynical and inexperienced users giving advice and getting upvoted for it. It’s really disappointing cause the sub has helped me with my confidence, I’ve recognized a lot of bad habits that I’m working towards eliminating because of this sub.

Humans are way more complex than we realize. The “me” in my family’s head is way different from the “me” in my friend’s head, but they’re still me. There’s no point trying to force yourself into an identity, because people will respond to it differently and create their own image of who you are. It’s really cliche, but just do what you enjoy and try to improve yourself, remove yourself of the labels you give yourself because no human can ever satisfy personality labels 100%

Be involved in something. The more involved you are, the more connections you have. High school’s all about social proof, if you’ve got social proof at school it’ll carry you a long way. Also have some quality you’re known for, like humor or kindness or whatever, and use that to your advantage

I appreciate this very much! I went through the exact same thing where I was confident and interesting but turned into a nervous wreck who couldn't strike while the iron was hot. But... I was that confident & interesting guy before, that guy's still apart of me, so I'm good enough right now! I'll apply these tips to my life, thank you

Yeah, I’ve been noticing for a few months, the posts on this sub have been changing from daily advice to a lot more questions (which are good!) and questionable advice by people with clearly little experience or frustration at the world. The comments are way more cynical, there’s a lot more trolls and people who aren’t active members giving just bad advice. Glad someone else feels this way, I appreciate this sub because there’s a lot of good advice that has helped me and it’s a shame now you hav…

Haha even if you’re slightly drunk, that’s still wise! If you feel / think something, then who’s to say you can’t express it?

Yes! I noticed a lot of people let things slide unless you say something super messed up. Sometimes, it’s stuff they were thinking but were afraid to say too. Just take those chances, the backlash is almost always overestimated & you get better social awareness with the few instances you face backlash

Thank you for this post! I was thinking an hour ago how I dislike the idea of chasing cause it lowers my value, but I enjoy the “thrill” in chasing at the same time. Couldn’t make up my mind on the concept. That feeling of knowing there’s interest and the ball’s in your court, it feels so good and I love creating that feeling. Chasing feels too artificial, I’m trying to earn someone’s attraction, while courting feels more like being honest about who I am to someone who has respect for me. It sum…

For a skinny guy like me (like underweight BMI), what’s the best way to improve my health? I’m still young, should I focus on getting lean muscle mass or just focus on reaching a normal BMI?

Victimhood is addictive. You put it perfectly. Whenever I'm down because of some obstacle, like a poor grade in school, I fall into a victim mindset and don't take responsibility. It's addicting, it's easy for just one misstep to spiral into something else entirely, so I'm working on taking initiative and responsibility before I enter college. Good post and comment

I did procrastinate a lot in high school. I usually got into the habit of being well organized at the beginning of a semester, keeping up with everything, then falling behind and having to catch up. I need to learn how to study efficiently, I know what it feels like to be on top of everything but I never stay on top hah. Wasn’t expecting to acknowledge this on r/seduction, but I’m glad I am
