I deleted all the dating apps when I realized I have way better luck with my personality in person. You're on the right track with building a proper lifestyle. That's what I've done over the last 4 years or so and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. My career and hobbies drive me. They give me something to talk about with new people, but they also take up a lot of my time and I make that clear. That's part of my personality and I don't really have time to waste or play games, so I ma…

Combination of a few things really, but it comes down to developing your hobbies to the point where they provide value to and enhance your own lifestyle.

I made this post because I'm honestly surprised at how little I care. This is the first time something like this has happened to me that hasn't really affected me. I feel like that's a big enough of a step that a lot people need to hear isn't too far away.

shaveshaveshave been bald since 7 years old. Bald can look great but it has a lot to do with how you take care of the rest of your body. Shave your head, tan a bit (naturally), and work out regularly. bald is beautiful but fat and bald is no bueno.

Not OP but a few things I'm into: -I play bass in a hiphop/jazz group at my school, we play parties and shows it's a lot of fun. -I enjoy oil painting, I'm not that good but I like it. -I enjoy cooking indian and Indochinese food. -I enjoy exploring nature and taking pictures -I study ecological restoration at school and that helps me with the point above.

DO: get involved around campus, find a passion and develop it, focus on studies before girls. DO NOT: give a fuck (at parties specifically)

it's more about head shape than anything else. I'm a bald indian guy but it's been that way since I was 7, so I don't even think about it, which I think is the key to rocking it.

This is the problem with journalism today. So often I see journalists picking one scientific study and writing about it like it proves something. Science is the process of proving things wrong, it never proves anything is correct. Eventually performing related studies will prove so many parts of the theory wrong that what is not touched upon is what is correct. So basically, one should never take one scientific study and treat it as fact.

For me it was moving off campus in college. Living on my own helped me develop a really good work ethic and I just got good at a lot of things I was pretty mediocre at, like school, cooking, playing the bass, photography. I find it easier to give a fuck about things if I'm good at them, and giving a fuck about the right things helps you stop giving a fuck about the wrong things.

I used to drink a lot when I went out but now it's small doses of psychedelics and then I combine that with weed and ¼ the alcohol I used to drink. It's way more conducive to having a good time than just drinking.

Good comedians have different perspectives of the world than most people. Listening to a lot of stand up is a good way to do a few things: See the world from many different perspectives. It helps you develop a sense of humor that's congruent to your way of thinking. It makes you more empathetic, at least in my experience. You realize that there are ways that you think that are similar to a lot of people in ways that you wouldn't expect, and that you may think differently from people in ways you …

The feeling I get doesn't alter my perception of the environment I'm in, I just feel slightly elevated. I feel like it does dilute the dumbness that comes with to an extent. I felt great after 3.5 beers but the only time I've done more than that was 4 shots of Jim beam and I was definitely drunk

Yes, everything I am about to say is based off personal experience. I take 0.5 grams of mushrooms before I go out on Friday. Combining psychedelics and alcohol have helped me control the nervousness/anxiety that sometimes comes with psychedelics. I am much better at listening and my wit is much faster, often coming up with the perfect thing to say. But the most important thing, to me at least, is the no bullshit attitude that is adopted. I am much more straight up and I refuse to deal with any b…

Yes4All hammock is $17 on amazon for those of you not looking to spend too much. It's a simple parachute hammock with ropes and a caribeeners attached that holds around 400 pounds. Dries almost instantly after rain. I haven't had it for too long so I can't speak about it's life expectancy, but it recently lasted me five weeks of intense use in the Adirondacks (with more than one person if you catch my drift).

Cultivation as a houseplant is nearly impossible. You would need a russula fungus growing in your house, and since it is a tree symbiont, you would need a tree growing in your house as well. It's also very hard to grow outside due to the complexity of the mycorrhizal networks and getting the plant to parasitize the network. So basically, cultivation is hard, but I believe in you.

Monotropa uniflora, or Indian Pipe, is an organism that eats like a fungus and reproduces like a plant. Unlike most plants, it is completely devoid of chlorophyll, making it a ghostly white color. This is why some people call it the corpse plant. It is interesting because it only parasitizes the mycorrhizal networks (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mycorrhiza) of fungus of the genus russula. My research focused on tree host selection for Indian Pipe. Unfortunately we've only found that the India…

It's ingrained into their biology. Men who express these traits come across as strong. Women want strong men to father their children. On the topic of nice: girls say they want a nice guy but that's not all they want. They want a nice guy with interests, passions, and hobbies. Guys who complain about girls by saying things like "How could she go after him, I'm much nicer" are usually only nice and pretty boring in every other way.

A bitch shield is a defense mechanism used to ward away suitors who only desire a woman for the most superficial of reasons. It is to prevent them from emotional harm if they find out all a guy wants is sex. Showcase how much of a genuine person you are and the bitch shield will fall eventually. Keep in mind that there are some nuts that are impossible to crack. Basically, be genuine and confident, the two characteristics this sub preaches about on a daily basis. Most situations discussed on thi…

Really beautiful women rarely get approached because of how intimidated most men are by them. The ones that do end up approaching don't treat her like another human, more like a trophy. Give them some legitimate human interaction and they're all yours.
