I would go further and say it's the end of western civ as a dominating empire. America is just the late iteration of western civ. Just like how the ottomans were like the late iteration of Islamic civ. So in other words, I think we may be at the end of an even larger cycle than just the end of American empire. It also shows though how the women are manipulating the men, I find it fascinating in every story arch, especially in later seasons, women get loads of free money and attention, almost none of them do any real work to speak of, and the ones that do work typically don't work hard and are just looking for husbands. It shows you how manipulative he women are with marriage. That they constantly instigate divorce and want everything.

Liberal states put laws in place now for just this reason that if you cohabitate with the same person for X amount of years, you are the same as married for legal reasons, and she can still fuck you over financially. So LTR's have the same risk. Women always win in the legal system, and all the successful women that i meet in politics or with great jobs, either marry someone who is doing better, or refuse to marry so they can keep everything. The only doctors available in my area are females, i went to one and she tried to wreck my knee so she could fix it ...
