I understand the whole "I have a SO guard." My issue stands with those who get pushy and start to ignore where the line stands. I'm by no means shy or self-conscious. I'll be the first to say "nice try," get a beer with you, and turn you towards better "targets." I just hate when I run into those who don't understand "no I'm not interested" or "leave me alone." Thank you for finally asserting that dudes should leave girls with boyfriends alone. When I was single that was my number one rule in the field, no girls with relationships whatsoever. If I ever encounter some "PUA" badgering my girlfriend I honestly hope I handle the situation well without escalating. Sometimes people think they are "opening a set" when in reality they are bothering and pestering someone.

So true. I have learned a lot about being a well-rounded man from reading books and the community. However, now that I have met a wonderful woman and am in a great relationship tidbits of advice like this are far and few between. Great post Soupertramp.

My basics are always the same. Somewhere where you are familiar. (this may mean scoping out a place before the date) Quiet enough for a full conversation. The main purpose of the date is to get closer to each other and to create chemistry and attraction. Able to create kino with some semblance of privacy.
