Yeah, I actually agree with that. Agreeableness/passiveness is definitely a coping mechanism that works well in some areas of life, but might be a hinderance in a relationship. I wouldn’t say my passivity is something like, a guy asks me what restaurant I want to go to, and I’m just like, “whatever you want.” But more like deeply ingrained trait that other people can somehow sense about me. Up until recently I thought I developed this trait because I’m a childhood congenital heart-patient, and w…

Those are good examples, but I think something as big as moving to a new town or surviving on a single income (yours) should be mutual decisions, not something a woman feels pressured to “submit” to, or “agree” to.

Well, I meant it more in an “easy-going” sense. Men think I’m “easy-going” (you might define that as “agreeable” or “agreeableness”) and assume that I’m submissive based on that.

Well, I would say that passivity is more of a personality trait that some men mistake for submissiveness. It’s not a bad personality trait to have though, another word to describe it would be “coolness.” Guys think I’m a cool chick, I guess, because of my passive nature.

“As a way to hack the male brain…” As a Domestic Violence Victim, I consider the behavior you’re describing to be “fawning,” (a coping mechanism or survival strategy for dealing with abuse) so that’s exactly why I wouldn’t engage with it.

“I humbly brought it to his attention..” Right. This is how a private treats a sergeant. I could not live like that, but to be fair, most of the men I dated were as dumb as rocks. I’d gladly point out their mistakes, but I don’t understand why I should be “humble,” about it, though… Maybe “gentle” is a better word?

So submission just means “subordinate,” like he’s a sergeant, and you’re a private? I guess that makes sense when it comes to running a household.

I don’t understand submissiveness… What are you submitting to? I think probably a better, healthier, term is passiveness, or passivity… I’m extremely passive, cartoonishly feminine, but never submissive. I just don’t even know what the term really means. Like… If your boyfriend (or husband) says 2+2=5, aren’t you supposed to tell him it equals 4, instead?

I’m not sure where I read it, but it said something like, “When it comes to sex, you can only move forward not backwards with men…” the implication was, that once you were sexual, together, the expectation was that you would remain sexual with eachother… I personally think this is a bit sexist, but it makes sense to the way that most men think: Once you are intimate together, you’ll forever remain intimate… At least for as long as you’re together. Taken to its logical extreme, once could argue t…

The guy who said he wanted to split the bill was either broke (less likely), or trying to impress you with how “progressive” he is (most likely.) If he offers again, just say something to the effect of, “I actually, usually, let my dates pick up the check…” The first guy is just a horndog, but I’m interested in how he messaged your friend… Are you in the same friend group? It sounds like he wasn’t really serious, and you have to be careful about guys… Because, honestly, they’re not all creeps wh…

That’s true of some of them… Some, I just wasn’t that interested in. There’s no relationship between being a writer/musician/poet, and not being able to commit to a relationship… That stereotype exists, well, because of people like Bob Dylan. (Who still gets around, lol!) Sure, there’s a lot of less successful versions of that stereotype, college guys who are “in a band,” is one example… but like I said, most guys (and girls) who write poetry are embarrassed to show it to other people. (What mad…

Yes, but in the end… You have to pick, you have to choose an individual… Not a group or stereotype. She’s looking for a romantic type, and I guarantee they exist. Both romantic types, and guys that don’t care about romance, can be players. A guy isn’t necessarily more of a player, just because he’s romantic, poetic, or musical. (A writer’s favorite activity is writing.) Maybe those are strategies he developed to endear himself to the fairer sex… like your (Bob) Dylan example… But just because me…

John 12:25 states, He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal And Matthew 10:37-39 says, Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it. But you’re probably looking …

Wow! I literally never say this, because I’m usually pretty progressive when it comes to feminism and gender roles… (I hate anything that says, “women should do this, men should do that”… It seems archaic) But the problem is… You’re being the man in relationship! You’re taking the lead. Now, being a leader isn’t always a bad thing… But that might be part of the reason why you’re having cold feet. You want him to be firm in his decision making, (a normal thing for a woman to want from a man), but…

Gender is only a social construct in regards to language — such as “all cats are she, all dogs are he, all babies are she, etc.” Gender, in medicine and biology, is interchangeable with biological sex. It means exactly the same thing. If you ask your doctor the gender of a newborn or a fetus, you’re referring to its biological sex, and nothing else. The same thing if you’re asking the gender of a lab rat, or test subject. Yes, gendered language is different, but “gender” in a scientific sense, a…

That’s only because nostalgia gives everyone rose-tinted glasses… Do you think women who marry men they aren’t attracted to don’t have the same/similar regrets..? She might even give this guy a chance again, sometime in the very distant or very near future… And promptly realize the same exact things she’s realizing now. Don’t get me wrong, I feel sorry for the guy, but he’s obviously not her type.

Any time you do something that goes against your values, you’re going to feel like dirt. Does your “situationship” have potential for a real relationship? Or, are you mostly “friends with benefits?” If you lost your virginity, is that something you wanted to do? Or did you feel deceived, pressured, or coerced? The Red Pill philosophy will tell you that men want women without a lot of experience, however, at the end of the day only you can decide your own self-worth. Try making peace with your de…

Try to remember that you’re not a mind-reader — You technically don’t know if she’s “checking you out,” or wanting to tell you to wipe that booger out of your nose… Try not to place too much importance on other people’s opinions of you, and place more importance on the ease or difficulty of going through life, or throughout your day— A nice checkout girl was kind to you? Great! A stocking woman was rude to you, not great… The checkout counter girl may have liked you, or they might have been just…

They’re mistaking “happiness” for “freedom.” I think 99% of red-pillers (both men and women) have some sort of enmeshed relationship with their parents — Either an abusive or unfaithful father who they over-identify with, or a mother who is overstretched, overstressed, or overbearing; who they fail to understand or sympathize with. This is why they view relationships as a “sacrifice of freedom (rather than of happiness)” instead of just going to therapy. I’m definitely more purple-pill, nowadays…

I think there is a phenomenon, where once a woman has a baby, the man goes from thinking of you as “hot girl” and more of a “mom.” It’s probably pretty common, and natural, but I can see why it hurts… New moms also sometimes suffer from a bit of postpartum depression, which is actually common (and normal) after any major medical event, not just pregnancy… And so, you may be experiencing a bit of that, too. How many coworkers are hanging out right now? Maybe he’s doing some reconnaissance for his friend he’s trying to hook up with her? The problem with “bagging a man” is that there’s always going to be someone younger, hotter, and more engaging… It’s just a fact of life. Right now, however, your priority is the baby… And maybe, (since he offered) tell him you’re ready to “tag out,” maybe he’ll get the message?

First of all, your interests aren’t “too girly,” they’re too romantic, not in general… But just for him. There’s tons of guys who will write you songs, and read you poetry on riverbanks… But he isn’t one of them. He sounds like a good guy, getting his Master’s Degree and dating a soon-to-be Dentist… But he might be a bit too practical for you. You might have to decide if romance is more important to you than whatever he brings to the table.

It’s funny, because… Everyone on Red Pill will tell you how much men are attracted to “youthfulness,” and yet if you look too young… No one over the age of 25 will take/date you seriously. However, resisting the temptation of eating unhealthy foods has to be your responsibility — I’m willing to go over a healthy meal plan with you, look up and prepare healthy recipes that we might both enjoy — but, ultimately, it’s your responsibility what you put in your mouth, not mine.” I would also add: “I’m really …

Antidotal — but both my grandmother and grandfather were pilots and aeronautical engineers, and they took turns working and caring for a family of four boys and four girls. My mom, when she got married, was a lot like you… She wanted to be the perfect housewife, and abandoned many of her own goals (such as becoming a pilot herself, following in her mother and father’s footsteps) to support my father’s career ambitions. You regret spending time with someone draining, rather than spending that time with/on yourself, doing whatever you want, and answering to no one? I can think of 3,000+ things I’d rather do than spend time with someone I’m not attracted to… Those women (if they exist) lack creativity. Maybe it’s an introvert thing? The Red Pill answer to your question is this: He’s obviously insecure that you make more money than him. That’s probably why he wants to quit his job and go back to school… But be wary, just because you stay with him and support his dream (either financially or emotionally) doesn’t mean he won’t ditch you for someone new once he gets a higher paycheck… That doesn’t mean you’re “not good enough for him,” rather… You’re essentially already out of his league, and if he’s dating someone who is out o…

You sound a little like me, when I was younger… I could attract creepy old guys, no problem, but none of them were actually seriously interested in me, probably because I looked young for my age. After an abusive relationship, in my early 20’s, I intentionally dated younger men, usually for purely superficial reasons. I was still a virgin, but was convinced (or coerced) into sexting by this guy I really liked. It felt natural to share my “beauty/body” in a safe way… But I think it drove me furth…

It’s ok to create boundaries in a relationship, it’s not ok to tell someone you’re dating that they can’t see or talk to their friends. “In his circle” means they’re probably a pretty tight knit group… Should he abandon his whole friend group because it makes his girlfriend jealous? That would be wrong if a man did it, and it’s wrong if she does it, too. I can understand her reasoning and emotions, I don’t understand trying to control another person’s decisions.

This was during the divorce, my mom knew about it but my father was so physically abusive, she didn’t challenge him on it. This was in the 90’s, and yes, she (my stepmother) signed her name, essentially as my mother’s. She was somehow able to take our trust funds. My point about the height thing is that being tall is biologically desirable. You’re right, in a way, though… Because if short women date tall men, their sons and daughters might inherit tall genes. I used Sabrina Carpenter, as an example, specifically, because she also dates short men. This doesn’t make her “biologically unfit” (I’m not a eugenicist, and of course most of Asia is populated by short but highly virile and reproductive men) but just a bit of an outlier.
