“Well honey, I met your father online it’s a cute story! He had mentioned his libido in his bio, and spelled it wrong, so I thought maybe this guy is the one”

I agree it’s unfortunate Male socialisation will usually see them bitter, stuck or jumping into flings where women even outside of FDS cry out the feelings with friends then they get out there and try to rebuild. People take the piss out of the “breakup bangs” or post-breakup hair colour change we do but it’s rooted in getting up and taking care of yourself

Same if my future partner felt comfortable doing that even as “a laugh” I’d be out of there

I agree with the comments saying they aren’t the norm anymore apart from in low to no value guys, although they’re still the norm for bachelor parties and that’s what I find weird... like why celebrate being in love by leering at another woman? The weirdest thing about these parties is they know the women don’t want it.. like stereotypes of strippers are usually that they’re either doing it to struggle through college, trying to support their child on their own, or drug addicts caught in the sys…

I think it’s like 2% likely his wife actually knows.

Maybe I’m paranoid but this sounds like a move to make you say “well I’m willing to make it work”. “Ok well to make me less anxious about my toxic ex who wanted my attention all the time and/or was going out having fun making me jealous and possessive, you gotta promise you will not get clingy on the phone/ won’t go out or have friends without my permission”

Something I’ve learned recently. If you have to say “but it’s not like that” it absolutely is like that and you should get out. Age gaps, he’s still married (but getting divorced I swear!), he’s your boss, he was a one night stand- if you’re telling someone the bare facts about your relationship and following it up with “it’s not like that though it’s not weird”. It is weird, and it’s going to get worse

Yeah when a guy says good vibes only they mean I want you to go along with whatever I want and not ask for more/ commitment in return. It’s a really common way of manipulating women by making them feel like they have “bad vibes” or “negativity” for not wanting to be a FWB

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
