That’s not at all what I said.

🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m just saying what I see happening with people I’ve known for over 20 years. It’s not my lifestyle choice but it does work for a tiny minority. I think I was clear that it doesn’t seem to work for most. Not here to deliver blanket judgments! Part of FDS for me is recognizing what freedom is and being allowed and supported to pursue it for ourselves. Whether that looks like 100% monogamy or something else. I prefer honesty among adults and I do think requiring monogamy from people who don…

I know people who are capable of having an arrangement like this, because they are financially, emotionally, etc committed for real and for the long run. And honest and discuss everything with each other so there are no surprises (as opposed to the story here). But, it’s a tiny fraction of those who say they want this, who are capable of achieving and maintaining it. Most people do poly pretty clumsily and can’t really make it work. I know I’m capable of being safe and discreet. But I don’t know…

It’s the handmaid’s tale. Stock up on Plan B, it lasts 4 years. Even if you won’t need it, for your nieces, friends, etc. will. If you live in a state where abortion is available, offer to host women who may need to visit. Might as well build these networks now if you haven’t already.

This. I’m dating (ugh) and refuse to converse about kinks, dom/sub, any sexy flirting. Been trying to figure out why - I think because 99.9% of these men will never need to know or have any chance to find out. I don’t like feeling like they are online shopping to satisfy their specific fantasies. If they’re not interested in me for me, then forget it. I do find with my high value friends, men drop those preferences immediately if it seems like they have any chance. (Of course I have no doubt the…

Yeah I think a combo of being disgusted/ disappointed by men over the years + thinking of intimacy/ access to me as being only for people I really like and respect… and realizing it takes a little while to figure out who that is. I was mostly dating men I was already acquainted with for a while, from my community, and they had social ties and a reputation to maintain. Then I moved to a new city and was meeting way worse, more dangerous men in bars or men who didn’t measure up from apps. Like one…

This happened with a female narc co worker and her husband (who surprise, was on her payroll, so creepy!) He was formerly and generally known as a chill and kind guy but would flash out anger and bullying just like she did, or in support of her. I even saw him kick their dogs and he’s 6’4” so not like a casual foot shove. They have 2 kids now and lord … I feel for them!

The thing about humans is that we don’t have claws or other natural defenses… if we don’t bathe we smell so rotten that other animals won’t eat us. Really!

Oh always. Sometimes they’re also looking inside the house or the office for the easiest, closest-by thing 😂

Not to mention birthing kids into a (formerly preventable!!) climate change emergency which is my personal reason #1.

Saw this on a great vintage t shirt. “If we can put a man on the moon, why not all of them??”

I had a coworker like this. Wouldn’t even look around the office, just be like “where’s a pen” until a woman stopped working and found him one. That but times every, single, task. He was a real slippery snake. Had our intern doing 80% of his job.

I literally stopped making food for men in my home in my mid 20s. They get coffee and then they get out so I can start my day. Not gonna be making breakfast and doing all the dishes nope!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
