Do you know how much money it takes to even be a single father? You’re right single fathers do way better than single mothers. But you’ve either got to already have the cash to win custody (again 80% favorable decisions for women in divorce) or divorce a woman who doesn’t want her kids/such a completed dumpster fire the courts award the man custody with little fight.

Well if you do everything right and it still fails you walk away at least financially better off statistically speaking. Women receive the favorable judgment 80% of the time. I could do everything right, wanted effort and come out being financially and socially penalized for it.

Honestly best retort so far. Fair point. Grasping at straws it helps you “know your enemy” as it were. Understanding where many are coming from helps you better deal with them.

I’ve wrestled with this too. Very few mammals are monogamous or mate for life. But also most are pack animals, maybe we’re supposed to be too? But while we are scarcely more than animals we do have a more complex social structure and psyche. Life long commitment is less about personal satisfaction and more about the next generation. Humans are some of the most helpless for the longest time while young of just about any mammal, and due to the complex natures of our social structures and psyches, …

How many women actually stay home these days? Being aware of the risk factors doesn’t eliminate them. Don’t want to get married? “I guess he doesn’t love me.” Want to get married but at least want a fair pre-nup? “Well I guess he doesn’t trust me.” You can do absolutely everything right as a husband and a father, she meets someone at work or out on a girls that butters her biscuits and that’s all she wrote. No-fault divorce in most places.

Steel sharpens steel, diamonds are formed with tremendous heat and pressure… Point is we need adversity to grow and mature. And while I’m not pro abuse or anything, and hate needless suffering, some suffering is necessary. Too many people were brought up protected from all adversity, shielded from any consequences, never held to account and spared any truths that could make them unhappy, and it shows. It’s funny that you say you’ve aged well and most of the men in your life haven’t. My experienc…

When you live in a world where you’re constantly told you can have it all, deserve it, it’s not surprising when this is more common than not.

I acknowledge all those risks. But I also know people, and they don’t generally even take them into account. It why so many women go into an existential crisis, and lose their minds when they hit that age. The knew it was going to happen intellectually but that’s it. It’s not common for women these days to consider all that when dating. As many marriages and divorces as I’ve witnessed, or been party to none of that is considered. They want to get married because that’s what they feel like, they …

The question is though, why is that certificate and ceremony so important? Knowing that people change marriages tend to fail a lot, and in most cases it’s a losing proposition for men. I get the symbolism of it however it’s a giant and unnecessary risk that you’re expecting a man to take meanwhile there is no equivalent risk or sacrifice you’re making in return. While I love the idea of marriage, and there’s nothing better than a good one, in this climate it seems only a fool of a man would marr…

My ex gf got drunk and bold, she was crushing on me for like a year, thought I was out of her league. Then one day she worked up the courage to flat tell me she liked me. Then we spent a whole wonderful year and some change together. Only ending due to her changing her mind and wanting kids now. We had some communication issues too, but that’s beside the point. The point is she landed a guy she never thought she could just by coming out with it. According to her, all her previous boyfriends were…

When you go out, when you socialize sit back and observe. Find a good target, get to know them, if they seem like the type of guy you might be interested in getting to know romantically, you need to more or less make the first move. Put or keep putting yourself in their proximity, find excuses to chat with them, be warm, and friendly, maybe a little complimentary. It might take a while lots of us are pretty oblivious, we’ll think you’re just friendly before we get the hint that you’re interested…

It’s funny how women seem to always like to put that they have a good job in their dating credentials. Men genuinely don’t care about how much money women make, just so long as they can keep their bills paid. I’d say start by going out some and meeting people, not necessarily to find a person to date, although if that happens, great. But to gain some social experience, confidence and to observe more than anything. A lot of people go out into the world looking for a mate, with certain expectation…

So going forward, yes keep your legs closed, stop having sex with people you like in order to get them to like you and work on your issues. One of the things about the redpill mindset is they don’t care about what’s popular or PC. It’s either true or not. Many people like to posit that men and women are largely equal, or at least quite similar. Which is true. So if men express malevolence that means women can and do as well. Unless you refuse to accept that women can be malevolent too. Which is nonsense, it also subverts the idea that we’re equal. So if you pontificate for a while, why do men act with violence, what goal does it ser…

Men are more prone to express violence physically which is far easier to qualify as a crime than the way women express violence. Then, while people are more charitable to women, she wants something, asks for it, she’s more likely to get it. He’ll be more likely to steal it. People take care of women, steal for women so they don’t have to steal for themselves. Also men are more thrill seeking, women more engrossed by drama. So I’ll speed and you’ll gossip as an example.

That’s no joke. But how many absolutely worthless employees do you know that are great SO’s? The person who will make up excuses to not go to work today is the same person who will make up excuses as to not undertake their portion of the emotional labor. The person who will complain about not being paid enough while not doing their job adequately is the same type of person who will never be satisfied with their partner no matter how awesome they are. So no just because they’re a good worker does…

A really good one you can detect early on is if they never admit any fault in the failings of any of their previous relationships. Nothing but toxic ex’s. Nobody is simultaneously perfect and that unlucky.

Over the course of my last few relationships I got to thinking about how I’d not employ most of them if I was in the position to. I separated work from love, it is separate. But relationships take labor, as does employment. So if you wouldn’t employ them, don’t date them either. People tend to be more devoted to work than they are their relationships these days, and if they’re a crap employee chances are super high they’ll be a crap SO.

The biggest red flag is still being entangled with the kids’ mother. You need to make sure that crap is indeed fully over. He’s always going to feel some kind of way about the mother of his children, as he should, but it has got to be fully over, any trace of in-love has to be gone. Ideally nobody wants to date a parent if they’re not one themselves, and even if they are… That drama sucks! However, it’s really hard to find good people worth coupling with these days. Maybe instead of “not attracted” he meant “not as turned on.” You’re saying you’re more attractive, yet he claims to be less attracted. That suggests something else going on, a behavior, habit, a rut you’ve entered into where things aren’t as exciting. While physical attraction tops men’s sexuality, emotional attraction still plays a big part too.

There something disrespectful about telling a man he can’t find you beautiful. I fully get the image issues, but if I call you beautiful and you say you’re not, you’re essentially calling me a liar and/or an idiot. Something I can’t suffer even less than lack of love, it’s lack of respect. I get you don’t feel pretty right now, but I know what I feel, don’t insult me because you feel bad.

The thing is I’m not trying to invalidate your argument. Theres nothing I can add to them that you have not already stated. But every time I bring up something you move the goalposts. I say something about jealousy and insecurity and you’ve got to bring up trafficking. I say something in reply to unrealistic expectations and you’ve got to double down on humiliation. I’m not looking to get into a pissing contest with you. A simple “yeah that sucks that women do that.” Would suffice.

I’ve been with women who hated porn. Not one of them ever brought up the moral objections about it, it was all hurt feelings. So yeah there is trafficking and abuse and all sorts of vile things regarding it. Do you date women? Have you experienced this side of the isle in which they want contradictory or impossible things and it’s your moral failing to not know what those are or when? Then go back to their friend circle and have them all nod in agreement to how stupid men are?

I’m not claiming any of that is untrue. But to say there’s no insecurity or jealousy is a falsehood. Speaking on unrealistic expectations, smut books, romantic novels are far more guilty of that. No man can read a mind like the stud in the story you’re reading, you can at least take a facial. If I want you to and you won’t, and I pressure you to I’m an asshole. But if you want me to behave like Fabio and I can’t I’m still an asshole.

The point of masturbation is to get a nut, visual stimulation is a whole lot easier and quicker than trying to construct an erotic fantasy. Most guys bring sexually visual and not very imaginative, also seeking efficiency it gets the job done expeditiously. There are women who utilize porn, but they’re few and far between, but they’ll flick the bean to a smut book. It’s a complicated topic. Ideally I’d like to be in a relationship where porn was never necessary. I know it’s never actually “necessary” but it sure makes the job easier. I’ll abstain from it for a while to honor her, but it’s rare to find a woman these days who is willing to engage in sex when I need it (not just want it) so rather than bother her or start a fight, I’ll just take care of it myself. Porn isn’t good. But “sex work is real work” isn’t coming from the mouths of men. You can’t praise (and I’m not saying YOU are, but women are) the pornographers and lambast their customers. 3 dates is not enough for someone to come out of their shell. It’s only enough to figure out that he’s generally what he says he is. It’s almost impossible to know someone well enough to gauge if they’ll be a good spouse, only that they’d be a bad one. Dating is all up in the air right now, people have sex before they hold hands… it’s weird. First you need to accept the reality of current life. These days it takes two incomes for most households to make it. So if you want to have a traditional life where you don’t work you’ll either have to find a well off man (hard to do and in demand/lots of competition) or be happy living a spartan existence. Or compromise on the traditions to make it. Idk how young you are, but it seems probably early 20s at the oldest. Not many men are looking for a wife at 21. Most guys in fact aren’t looking …

Probably going to need some therapy. You’ll need to learn to compartmentalize work and life outside work. You need to build a life you feel comfortable and safe in then learn how to accept that you’re safe so that you can relax and not only allow your feminine to come out but kind of exaggerate it in a way, or “fake it till you make it.” People are creatures of habit and unless they actively force a change, change doesn’t happen even when nothing’s preventing it.

It’s not entirely your fault. In most dating scenarios if she’s not talking to us everyday it usually means she’s not interested. In my experience women are fickle if you’re not talking frequently she takes it as a sign that I’m not interested or something, and she’s free to date someone else. Looks get you in the door but they don’t keep you in the house for long if your personality or effort is lacking. Don’t get me wrong attraction and sex is important but I’ve never broken it off with a woman because she wasn’t pretty enough to keep me. If I’m sleeping with her regularly or for a while she’s pretty enough. What breaks it is she doesn’t try hard enough to be loyal, to make me think she cares, to give me as much as I give her. Nobody’s perfect, sometimes risks pay off sometimes they don’t. You took a chance, and it didn’t work out, it happens. It’s not like you’re out here being led solely by your urges. I think it’s less about your profile and more about theirs. You want to come across nice obviously, and in your feminine. I don’t think you need to put any of that stuff about traditional lifestyle or the like. But when you screen their profile aside from the typical things like minimally attractive, active, with hobbies and humor, you’re going to want to find kind of a masculine or dad energy. Screening out machismo and also (I can’t think of how else to say it) feminist/ally type energy.

Obviously you’ve got to find a guy oriented to that, but also, and the biggest part is you can’t fight him for the lead. Men generally want to make their SO happy, and today a lot of women want certain things, push back and take the lead. Rather than fight you for it a lot of guys will let you take it, else they be considered toxic or chauvinistic.

Kids is a mutual thing, marriage today primarily benefits women. The relationship between men and women is complimentary but marriage is a bad bet for men, that’s all. It has nothing to do with me being or not being a fan of women. Agreed. Still, given the culture, the laws, the stats it’s not a safe bet. I can understand the romance of some guy knowing all of that and still choosing to marry anyway and how special that’d make someone feel. But I’m not going to put emotions over logic. Nicely written, logical but it’s still fantastic and selfish. If the roles were reversed women would feel the same way as men, but men (typically) being more pragmatic would understand and go along with it. Women want someone to love them so much they’d put their livelihood and future on the line for the sake of that love. Which is sweet and I understand, but I can’t get past how selfish it is, and there is little to no reciprocal risk women take that men demand. Ask a woman to “put herself in h…

Very few these days want to be married, they just want to have a wedding, and maybe the title of “wife” like it’s “the chosen few.” Seems to go hand in hand with things like refusing to have a prenup even though it’s practical, or submitting to a paternity test. It’s part of the reason why both sexes sometimes react harshly when rejected “you’re fat anyway/what are you gay?” Type stuff.

A lot of women are the same way, and still want the accolades of being a good parent when they’re not. Parenthood isn’t a walk in the park, but it’s not a ridiculously demanding as some like to claim.

Breakups are hard even in toxic relationships. It just takes time to heal. We’re biologically driven to couple to continue the species, and to bond with a partner because it’s more advantageous for the offspring. But with those perks also come the drawbacks of being sometimes bonded to people who are bad for us. Just take your time, enjoy your trip and try not to think about or dwell on it and him. Exercise discipline and self control, like an intense workout it’s hard and painful but the result…

I love my pets, I do. But they are NOT children and treating them like they’ve got same complex emotional and developmental needs as children is nuts. Co-parenting is about the kids not the adults. So saying they’re co-parenting an animal that can survive on its at just a few months old is looney tunes. There’s something amiss. They, one or the other, either want an excuse to stay in the other’s life or they’re not all there. Either way I’d want no part of that inevitable drama or foolishness.

Just simply not being fat puts you above the average woman. And yeah guys like boobs but you’re over valuing that. Looks only open the door, personality and demeanor keep you inside. If you have a wise, good and trusted male role model or friend that isn’t sexually or romantically interested in you, you can bring your prospect around them. Just like women are better at sniffing out women of bad character men are too with other men. It’s not foolproof, but it’s a good method.

Joe Rogan and Andrew Tate are two completely different types of people. Lots like to lump them in together and there is overlap in their fanbase sometimes but there is overlap in Taylor Swift fans and child sex traffickers. About the only things those two have in common is they are guys who value masculinity and have podcasts. Oh yeah, they’re both bald and used to fight competitively. Lumping Rogan in with Tate is like lumping weed in with heroine.

The thing is that relationships start with attraction. For men attraction is predominantly physical. For women while looks are important too, there are so many other things that matter. What we describe as beauty is just markers of likely good health and fertility. Our attraction triggers evolved with us to give us the best chances of survival, passing on our genes and them passing on theirs, continuing our genetic legacy. With that in mind an extremely good looking man isn’t guaranteed to give …

Sex should be fun, and it usually is, but even fun things can become a chore. When sex with your lover becomes a chore, sex and masturbation kind of switch places. He’s not having sex to enjoy it, he’s having sex to give you pleasure, probably because he loves you and wants to make you happy. Sex has stopped becoming “us time” and is now “her time.” If she gets her time, I deserve “me time.” And now you’re admonishing him for it. Taking a step back from sex can help some, but not in the way you’…

I’m not saying it’s not justifiable, I’m explaining where the animosity comes from. And reality is sexist. We didn’t develop this way due to some patriarchal tyranny, we developed this way because it’s what worked best, and lots of things became screwy in the process. We haven’t yet adapted to how things are now. Our attraction triggers are still mostly rooted in the lizard brain and filtered through our higher brain functions.

I get that when men get riled up they can act with physical violence towards women, but it’s not like women aren’t violent too, they just do it differently, and not like it makes one better or worse but it’s a lot easier to heal from a black eye than to fix your reputation or rebuild your life.

It’s left many impatient and entitled, we don’t have to earn pleasure we get it on demand with little to no investment from us and the infection has spread from objects to people. Like you said, you’ve got to cultivate or nurture your friendship, people just don’t do that. They may hav…

Try not to let the dating game get you down, it’s hard after being single for so long to not get tired of trying and failing, meeting people giving your all just to for it all to be for naught. I find the lack of effort, energy and reciprocation to be the biggest issue in dating women my age. It seems from my side they don’t want to waste effort if it’s going to last, meaning it’s not going to last because they don’t make much effort, but expect a whole lot. The wall is a helluva thing, but then…

Sounds like an unequal distribution of effort manifesting financially. Do you spoil him as much as he spoils you? And it doesn’t have to be financially. A lot of women want a man to fill a more or less traditional role as provider and all that, but that also entails some responsibilities on their end that is often neglected. Now there is not enough detail here to say that’s what’s going on, but it is one of the more common reasons things like this happen. That a man feels he’s giving way more th…

Therein lies the problem. Just meeting someone you have no idea what they need/want. You may feel that me blowing off my friends is too much, the next woman thinks if I don’t I’m not valuing her enough. The second appears to be more common than the first, though it might not be. Then your assumption that it’s too much, when it’s nothing at all for me is another problem, as it’s may not be indicative of my level of dominance at all. If I met someone online (which I don’t do anymore because it’s garbage) and we seemed to be getting along well but our schedules make going on a date difficult and I could rather simply shuffle stuff around to make it happen she should be charmed not icked. Kinda makes you wonder what kind of situation they grew up in where having a man treat you with any kind of priority turns you off? In general it’s not true but some women really do “dig jerks.” They’re in some sort of weird headspace where any man who treats them well must not be high value enough. Perhaps daddy never had enough time for her so she used to being de-prioritized, pining and fighting tooth and nail for any attention from him, so treating her even kinda well feels like simp behavio…

There are markers of value for both sexes. A woman getting into a serious relationship with a “loser” is looked upon very much like when guys SO the town bicycle. So while it’s shallow as their partners might in fact be good people and partners, they generally aren’t. And a big indication of what a person is like is who they choose to partner with. Are you morally wrong? In this day and age, probably, but it doesn’t make your judgment incorrect.

I think the princess treatment as described on most TikTok videos is more female dating strategy and less redpill. Unless my assumptions are off (and I’m sure my comment will be deleted if it is) RPW has more of an expectation of a man treating a woman the best he can with her doing the same. While the princess treatment idea is more that if a man doesn’t or can’t spoil her then he’s not a man worth dating. It’s not that big a deal. Most people at least one time in their lives has a sexual escapade they regret. Loyalty is such a complicated topic when you dig into it. I try to keep in the realm of what an average rational person would consider, but leaning more to the conservative side. And it has to mutual or equal, which it’s often not. When it comes to cheating double standards are rife. One must take into account the differences between male and female mating strategy. Depends on the woman and her definitions of the three. In simple terms, surface level you absolutely can. He can be physically attractive, have a good job or career and will be loyal. But it’s all relative to her, first she’s got to be a catch as well, meet his needs/expectations. Then relative to her he can be attractive, successful, and loyal. Maybe they’re tired of being used so they no longer put effort in, maybe they never knew to in the first place. Kindness and being interested has been my biggest issue in dating. I’d say 90% of the women I’ve tried to date over the last 5-6 years are all about what they can get out of it, how he treats her and things like respect, honesty, loyalty and reciprocity are almost unheard of. If you have to, schedule sex in advance. Yeah it takes a little of the excitement out of it, but “bad” sex is better than no sex or being left wanting. It’s saved several relationships, it does bring you a closer. Not my words, and paraphrasing, actually said by a woman (Nora Vincent) Sex for men is more physical than it is for women, it’s more of an urge or compulsion, a physical need. I wouldn’t stress too much about it unless you literally cannot stop yourself from doing stuff like that. Which honestly isn’t very common. Be careful of old habits. You said he’s a laid back guy, he could be used to you taking care of things and isn’t being proactive as a result, thinking you’re handling it because you always do. A subtle way to encourage him would be to ask him about it, what he’s doing, plans and expected outcomes. Basically letting him know the ball is in his court with this. Many of us are also confused about leadership as many have essentially been taught that a desire to be “in charge” of the household or relationship is inherently sexist. Many women have too, and been brought up that it’s weak to follow a man and to buck his authority on principle. That’s a hard cycle to break and the money factor is a big deal culturally speaking. Most people associate money with power/control. Fighting for control constantly is not what most guys want to do, so maybe he’s not worth changing for, but the longer you maintain this frame the harder it will be to break. So maybe this guy will go away and that’s fine, but what about the next or the one after that? Most guys want to be “in charge” and most women want a man who is, but if she isn’t going to let him then he’s going to move on, very, very few people are worth that constant friction.

In my experience most cheating isn’t hypergamy related, not that it’s uncommon, but it’s more for seeking some kind of affirmation. Hypergamy isn’t a bad thing if it’s kept reasonable. You want “better than you” great, fine, go for it. The problem is when it’s unreasonable. Very few women legitimately won’t settle for anything less than perfect, but it is common for many to refuse to settle for anything that’s in their “league.” From the outside it looks like delusion, lack of self awareness. It’s fine to want this hyper attractive, successful man as a partner but it seems quite uncommon for many women to examine themselves …

I’ve found that the only thing that works is constant and conscious effort. People go to therapy a lot like they go to church they spend the hour or so involved in that but don’t take it out of the sermon or season. It does no good to go to church or therapy if you’re not living by the lessons learned. Maybe this is you, maybe it’s not. So you’ve got to stay awake aware of your emotions and in control of your actions. It appears to me that you need to do a better job of communicating your needs …

You can’t do anything about your feelings, but you can control your actions. What you’ve been doing is about the best you can do. Only time and distance will make these feelings fade. You’ve got to keep reminding yourself that you deserve better although you still may want him. Remind yourself that you’re living in a fantasy world, and think about what a relationship with him would actually be like given is current behavior not just the idealistic one you have in your head. You’re too stuck on w…

There are ways to contribute to a relationship outside financial, so perhaps you all can come to an arrangement wherein you both seem like you’re providing equally.

Can you quit? Adulting is often doing crap you don’t want to because you have to, because it’s what’s best for you and your family. If you can find another job that still affords you quality of life then great, do that! It sucks that you “wasted” all that time and money at school, but if you can live a happier life with less pay, more power to you. However if leaving your job will cause your fiancé to have to work more, pick up your slack, that’s not fair to him. The thing is most people don’t r…

The OG redpill dating advice is basically worry about yourself most, but not only. Get healthy, get strong, get competent, focus on your purpose and never make a woman your priority. Never make a woman your priority especially now since the laws are absolutely screwed and they’re essentially incentivized to divorce. There’s more to it but overall it is more or less good advice for the last few generations of men who were raised by single moms, and thinks romance works irl the way it does in movi…

Healthy body healthy mind, but to also seems like he may have felt he was contributing a lot more than you, watching you pick up the slack, lead by example rid him of this feeling and made home feel inclined to help more. Whether real or imagined, nobody likes to feel like they’re doing most of the work in a relationship, and lots of people feel guilty if someone they care about is doing work while they’re not helping. Another common lead to these problems is taking the other parties work for gr…

If you’re uncertain of it don’t do it. You can play with photoshop or the like to give you an idea of how it looks, but it won’t inform at all how it feels. My general thoughts on it is don’t do it unless it’ll make you both happy, communication is necessary if it’ll make one happy and the other sad. Don’t do it if it’ll make one miserable.

Most men will go for easy sex if they can get it. Yeah it’s rude and all that jazz. But it means they find you attractive which is a plus, it’s what you want. However, your job is to vet them and make sure they’re worthy of sex. Over simplified men see women as one of two categories fun or relationship. They will start out looking for fun and get it if they can, you’ve got to prove to each other that you’re not just for fun material, if your goal is a relationship.

Being that attractiveness is in-part subjective one can’t really quantify SMV. It’s more of a nebulous concept, shorthand for desirability. But more or less it is real.

We all make mistakes, nobody’s perfect, and there’s a lot of bad info/advice out there that confuses everything, but you’ve learned, it hasn’t all been for naught, at least you’re not making excuses and dodging accountability. Make sure not to go overboard though, accept the consequences and go for the best you can get, not the best there is from here on out. It does take a lot of reflection to know what or who that is and you’ll probably make one or two more mistakes along the road, you’re quit…

It’s only been about a month, so let’s see. But the obstacles in dating in the bar scene are, for the bartenders: the ridiculous amount of attention they get and the party influence of all your friends/coworkers. He’s got to be really secure to manage that, and most folks that frequent bars have some real pain and darkness inside them. For the most part most people have pretty good souls but act with selfishness, lack impulse control. Most of my beer buddies are cool to hang out with but absolut…

Thank you. She was and now is again a bartender/waitress at my local watering hole. I’m a friendly guy, so when she came and said hi a few times when she wasn’t working, I thought nothing of it. Until one day she comes up says hi and after a short exchange just said “I like you.” I was like “ok damn!” Shortly thereafter, she says “I’m want to kiss you ok?” And now we’re together, so far so good. Alcohol was involved lol

This is a tough one. Sadly lots of guys have had their feelings or desires for leadership crushed by single moms, the school system or society in general. Nobody concisely articulates what “toxic masculinity” is vs healthy masculinity and often any expression of it, or while learning it, it’s labeled as toxic and stamped out. So growing up they’re constantly led by women and allow them to lead for the remainder of their lives to the detriment of everyone. When you meet a guy you really have to l…

A lot of self awareness, and soul searching too. People seem to be quite resistant to admitting fault and placing blame externally when at least some (if not most) is often internal. Yes you absolutely need to get a prospective partner to make sure they’re good for you, but that comes with making sure you’re good for them too. Far too many people get into relationships with someone who is good for them, but they are poisonous. Then when the relationships fail it’s “men/women ain’t shit!”

Good rule of thumb is your exes for a reason. People can change but they rarely do. Loneliness is a helluva feeling and people give into it and do ill advised things to curb it. Most of the time when people reach out to an ex it’s not that they really miss them, it’s that they miss the feeling of having someone, afraid or uncertain/able to start again with someone new. That ex being the last or best cure for the loneliness they reach out to them though it didn’t or can’t work.

Ugly truth! It may indeed come off as a bit misandrist but if it’s accurate, it’s accurate, and this is accurate for a lot of men. There are a lot of bad habits of women too and I don’t think pointing it, even if it’s unflattering is sexist.

Assuming a traditional preference, and anecdotally most women I’ve met seem to prefer that the man leads. There’s nothing wrong with a man asking for opinions, advice, input, but when they take the pants off and hand them over, it’s time to bounce I think. Also keep in mind most men will happily take the lead, but they won’t fight for it. So if the woman is disagreeable, combative she will find that she “can’t find a man to date, they’re all just little boys.” When no, he’s just trying to make h…

I say be open to it but don’t specifically look for it. There’s a lot of confusion in the power dynamics, the logical fallacy of age mattering complicates things. The conventional or traditional dating dynamics of the man being the leader is pretty ingrained in most of us, as is age=wisdom and maturity. It can create some unforeseen conflicts. I’ve seen situations where the older woman is looking to the younger man for leadership but won’t accept it because she’s older and wiser, or the man reli…

Start slow. Don’t over fixate on the goals, the what ifs, just kinda put yourself out there. You don’t need to jump right into dating but you can go out and socialize. Bars are not a great place to meet partners but they are a good place for mini date-like interactions. So grab a friend, spiffy up a tiny bit, hit a quiet bar or lounge, get used to socializing again, not to party or get drunk. Talk with a few people here and there, guys, girls, whatever. Do this a few times and meeting new people…

Learning not to react negatively is a super power too. “Tact is the art of telling someone to go fuck themselves and them thanking you for it.” Nothing drives a toxic person crazier than shrugging off their aggressions or not reacting emotionally at all.

Complicated topic. Score keeping in a relationship only leads to resentment, each partner should be giving as much as they can as often as they can, they both need to make sacrifices for one another. However, if it becomes clear that one person is doing all the giving and making all the sacrifices, when the other is perfectly capable, then that relationship isn’t healthy. At face value a man not getting gift or doing for Mother’s Day while a woman did for Father’s Day is a bad look for sure. But…

At that point it’s on him. If she wants exclusivity but he doesn’t, there’s no point in her wasting her time. I’m sure he’s not be happy if she starts to date others but that’s on him for not shitting or getting off the pot. Assuming of course she isn’t trying to be exclusive after too short a time.

Still interested in winning, but if she’s putting you up against other men you’ve already lost. Either she doesn’t see him as “high value” enough or she’s got too much of the grass is greener mentality and not worth competing for. Dating isn’t like a race or a match. Everyone wants someone who sees them as a prize. So I can see why some would want to have people compete for them, but then it’s obvious that those competitors aren’t seen as a prize themselves. I’m not a woman, I don’t know if they…

One date, no, but several yes. I’m making unfair assumptions, I’ll admit that, but it seemed to me that OP has gotten kind of close with man A, have had several dates already. The level of confusion and seeming guilt alludes to either feeling like she knows roster dating isn’t exactly right, though common practice, or she’s just very inexperienced.

It does seem that everyone dates around, women specifically, because it’s easier for them to. Personally if I’m dating someone seriously and she decides that she is still wanting to play the field, I find that as a disqualifier. If it’s only casual she’s free to date around, but that disqualifies her from ever being a serious contender. If she sleeps with someone else, even if we are just casually dating she’s out too. Even in casual I demand a certain level of exclusivity, mainly for health rea…

How bad we talking? Is it just a little bit of clutter or is it full blown “if I’m not constantly picking up after him, it’ll look like a frat house after a party?” Have you stopped picking up after him to see how he handles it? How bad he lets it get before he does something? In one situation it could be a little misalignment in standards, a niggle, in the other a serious and possibly slightly “nagging” discussion should be in order. In the second case, if he has any not-picks with you, prepare…

Most guys aren’t going to be fiscally ready (nor emotionally) for a household until 25 or later so you’ve got a little time. It’s good to know what you want but there’s no need to rush. I’m advising against sleeping around but getting a little dating and life experience would be a good idea. Being a good housewife isn’t super laborious, like some say but there’s a lot more to it than others say, living on your own for a while might help make the transition from living with your parents to for a …

If he’s legitimately willing to work on it and change the way you kind of negate these feelings of inadequacy is to acknowledge but downplay the importance of money. Let him know that while saving and money are good to have, earning more than his wife is not important, that his other virtues are why you’re marrying him, not money. Again he has to be willing and actively trying to get better with his bad habit, he needs to hold himself accountable and it would be for the best if you encourage tha…
