Take a look at the original report http://www.cps.gov.uk/news/press_releases/under_the_spotlight/index.html

UN statistics suggest that 1 in 3 women will be beaten or raped in their lifetime. It may be far from your experience but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Try actually talking sensitively to your female friends and ask them if they have ever experienced a non-consensual sexual experience.

The UK has a tiny conviction rate for rape. Many thousands of cases do not make it to court let alone result in conviction. Where did you get 9 out of 10?

Nothing happened to it! All this report is saying is that there is a culture of not believing the accuser and that this is unfounded according to the statistics. In the UK there is a strong culture of myths around rape - such as the frequency of false allegations - and this influences the police behaviour. That's all this study is saying. It's not saying assume all accused are guilty, it's saying start taking accusations more seriously because there's really only a very small number which turn o…

And there were like 5,000 rape prosecutions with goodness knows how many more unreported or not getting to trial. 35 vs 5000.

Being part of the feminist movement. Every time radfems speak out, mainstream feminists respond to tell them they do not speak for them. See, for example, the Julie Burchill Observer debacle. Or last year's successful fight to stop a radfem conference from banning transwomen from attending. Mainstream feminists are more powerful than radfems and getting more powerful every day. See the #Tellafeministthankyou trending today. How many of them say misandric things? Have you seen the EveryDay Sexism…

Mary Daly is recognised as a radical feminist. She was writing in the 1970s and some of her writing, while seen as important historically, would not be considered acceptable today. Not sure about that second one.

The radfems are not the leaders of the feminist movement.

2 responses and an "I could go on" doesn't constitute an argument. Especially when the 2 responses don't make sense. Feminism doesn't position women as 'fainting victims', it demonstrates that we live in a society in which men generally have dominant positions and says that this is a bad thing. It's highlighting a social fact which has been absent from mainstream thought for thousands of years and which MRA's would no doubt like to erase again. Feminism gives women a voice. It helps women to art…

So...a hundred or so women said they used it for their career, and another few hundred said they used it to evade a parking fine? The headline is so misleading! Bloody Daily Mail.

That's not a joke, that's disgusting! Even r/mensrights should not be advocating this kind of behaviour! Seriously. To suggest that it's wrong to think about who should or should not be raped is not taking away any men's rights! Why is this on here?!? How do you think women on that campus feel after seeing that? Knowing that the men around them were looking them up and down and rating them as 'rape-able'?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
