You seriously think humans didn't need organization or memory retention before the late 1700's?

Same. I've started working as a server at this restaurant, and a busy one at that, so I'm constantly interacting with new people in various scenarios. Some interactions go decent, some are short, some are long, some are disastrous, some are incredible and life changing. It's definitely given me more confidence in interacting with strangers and gotten me comfortable thinking on my feet. Not quite there all the way yet, but it's been a huge help.

Going up to a chick and saying "nice necklace" or "what's your name" or "where did you get that?" is FUCKING DORK SUPER LAME. WHY THE FUCK DO YOU CARE ABOUT THIS STUFF FROM A R-A-N-D-O-M PERSON????? The counter argument to this is that you're not hiding Your desires blah blah blah she's a hot girl and she should be happy …

A girl I went to school with, "You have the perfect male nose." A woman at work, "I feel like every girl here has a crush on you!" Another girl from work, "You're cute. You can be manly sometimes." Not the best compliment, but it's something. "We're perfect for each other." A girl I've been friends with for 4 years.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
