I agree. What if her neighbor just disliked her or something and that's the reason he called the cops.

Hmm... That's true. It's almost as if we should decide someone's fate based on evidence and not just the words of the accuser. It's like those fake rape accusations that for some reason still got convictions. How could it have been proven that it was rape if it didn't happen?! I'm glad they were able to review surveillance footage and gather witness statements.

What exactly would they charge her with? For saying something naughty? Maybe being a public nussance or something like that but it would be ridiculous to charge everyone who's had an argument in public.

My whole point really is that I believe if nobody was harmed by what this woman did, why does she deserve a harsh sentence? What if the boys she had sex with now feel guilty for her getting locked up? I think that would weigh on my conscience a LOT more than the fact that I had sex with an older woman.

We dont let children make desicions like that... I know LEGALLY we don't, that why I pointed out the dictionary definition. Let me pose this question to you then. You wouldn't see any difference between someone actively manipulating a minor and/or forcing them to have sex versus a minor wanting to having sex with an adult? To you, both those "rapes" are equal?

I don't think the commenter meant the legal definition of consent. They meant that they weren't forced or coerced into it. The dictionary definition.

I just don't get it... Most of the teachers caught having sex with students were pretty good looking. If they really wanted to get laid, I'm sure walking up to a guy on the street and flat out asking would probably work in like 30 seconds. Is there some sort of appeal to being in a position of authority over the students? Or do they do it for the thrill of doing something wrong??

At one point, I was hoping the person recording would grab the cop's gun and double tap him right in the fucking head. Arresting someone for insulting them is complete bullshit. From what I read, this girl was just defending the person who was getting unjustly arrested. Oh, and I guess I have to say this because.... Reddit. My opinion only stands if what I read in the comments is the true story.

Yeah, that's what I'm kind of thinking too. You were only called Mrs if you were married but a man got the title Mr just because he reached maturity. Even so, this person is being ridiculous. I'm sure there are plenty of things that have been named after something that we would find offensive nowadays. Does that mean we have to change all of those? Of course not. And yeah... The Mr's argument is really out there... lmao.

That's not bad then. At least she gave you some company for a little bit. Not every interaction has to turn into something. What gets me is the entitlement that some of these girls feel, like they are owed a drink just for being in their presence. Or like in this story, where they trick you into buying drinks for all their friends.

I don't know anything about SHARP, as you've mentioned, so excuse me if what I say is wrong but if having sex with a girl that has consumed ANY alcohol is a punishable offense, then I disagree. So if I have a drink with a girl in my home and we end up having sex, I should be charged with a crime??

Hmm. Maybe it's been a big issue in the past. I know being in the Army is pretty much a job so they make the rules but what I think is crazy is that they can actually press criminal charges. It'd be like me going into work and getting fired because I wore blue shoes and there is a rule against it. Fine. But now if they were able to press charges against me for not following that rule???
/r/PussyPassDenied17/11/18 06:55 PM

Lol, well yeah but I mean with that point of view, why isn't it just a law in general. Of course we should do our best as a society to prevent rapes from occuring but you have to draw a line somewhere. For instance, would having cameras installed in everyone's house prevent rapes? Sure, but it would be detrimental to our freedom and expectation of privacy. I was more curious as to why the Army is harsher in that aspect.

I see that's she's pulling her arm back and forth to free herself from him and then he loses his grip on her and falls back. It's not like she's punching him. I understand that part. The point I was trying to make is that if a police officer hit you without cause, it would be morally justified to defend yourself. In my scenario, I would think the officer is operating outside of the law, since he is breaking it by assaulting you(NAL, chime in if you're knowledge about this). But either way, whether it be the cartel or the police, assaulting you is illegal and you fear justifiably fighting back because of the legal and mortal consequences.

You are absolutely right that I am from the US. And now that you mentioned the time of the post in relation to the time in the other hemisphere, the favorable bias towards the police makes a lot more sense. I happened to be up because I was finishing up my night shift at work and didn't even considering those factors. Also, it's awesome that you responded with some insight from your own experience as an officer. Reading all these comments about how highly revered and trusted law enforcement is a…

What you're saying does make sense to me, in regards to people's expectations vs reality. However, I have seen various posts, similar to this one, where people from both sides have an opinion. Even in situations that, I felt, were way more clear cut than this one! It was just shocking to see that nobody questioned anything and just jumped in bed with the police. I really do like the way you used the frog as an analogy. I wish I could write as well as you. The problem I see with that argument is …

I seriously, seriously doubt that's what happened in the video. Just wanted to set up a scenario where (I think) most people would agree that the officer was in the wrong. I find it hard to believe that you would not defend yourself... I don't see why that would be retarded. I guess you mean that you know in the end, it would make things worse for you? Even so, I'm not talking about mitigating your legal problems. I'm talking about what is morally right. This reminds me of cartels/gangs. They wo…

I wasn't even trying to say she was right or wrong... I was just shocked how everyone took the officers' side when there isn't even an explanation of what happened. Now, I know this example will be extreme, but it's just to prove a point. So let's say one of the offices came up to you and punched you for absolutely no good reason. Maybe he didn't like your shirt, maybe he didn't like that you were standing there, but regardless, no good reason. Now you hit the cop back because you're defending y…

Body cams are definitely becoming more popular here in the US but we still have a long way to go. I've read stories where the body cams are "not functioning" or can turned on/off by the officer, which defeats most of their purpose. Also, many small departments can't afford them. If you asked a US police officer what it means to "de-escalate a situation", they would answer along the lines of "you mean shoot them until I no longer fear for my life?" There are situations where you really have to we…

Wish I could say the same here.. officers draw their guns like they're playing Wild Wild West! I get what you mean now with the intent part now. The only part I feel that everyone is ignoring is that the officers may have assaulted her first before she fought back. To me, it seems that many here feel like it's taboo to say that an officer assaulted someone first. And once again, I still don't know what happened before the beginning of the clip. She may have stabbed somebody immediately before, i…

Hold on now though.. In the shoplifting example you've given, you say that the shopper put hands on the officer first. This is a critical difference. My argument is based on the officer being physical first.

Funny thing is.. after I said the whole bit about your system being backwards.. I thought to myself, "Maybe the citizens of that country actually TRUST their legal system enough to make it work that way." I'm in the US so maybe my attitude toward police is different here. Also, I'm a little confused about how the bird example correlates to this situation? Is her pushing the officer away equivalent to you shooting the bird and hitting your neighbor? Or is it just an example to show that, beyond i…

I saw her trying to get her arm away but I did not see her intentionally trying to knock him down. He fell because he was pulling on her arm while she was trying to get loose, lost his balance and tripped over the sign. And I actually LOL'd about the part where resisting arrest makes me not innocent anymore. That's the problem with police, they have too much power. So even if I'm innocent, I should just let them take me peaceful? You think everything get sorted out in minutes at the station but …

Maybe I missed another post or news article that explains what happened here, but why is everyone immediately siding with the police here. There are plenty of times when police try to detain/arrest someone for no justifiable reason and if that's the case, maybe we should fight back? Also, aside from everything I just said, it appears that cop fell because he lost his balance when he was trying to grab her, NOT because she pushed him forcefully.

Most people here don't seem to be arguing the fact that drugging someone is wrong. It's the fact that he is being charged with murder whereas if a woman aborted a baby, she would not be. But to play devil's advocate for a second, I'm not sure what the "right" thing to do here is. He doesn't want the baby and she is forcing it on him. As someone else has already said, a man should be able to sign a contract saying he does not want to be responsible for the child if the mother decides to keep it. …

Was looking for someone to say something like this. Completely agree. This way, the woman can still make a decision about what she wants to do with her body but without holding someone else responsible for her choices. Of course, there would still be an issue in the case of a father wanting to keep the baby but it seems to me that most of the time, the opposite is true. At this point, the father doesn't have a choice either way so this would at least solve the problem keeping him on the hook for…
